There are a few questions:
1. Why is the tweeter for the project not active?
2. Why was the release of the NFT collection stopped?
3. Why is there no new exchange to buy a coin, not a token?
4. Why didn't they change the logo to a new one for CMC?

Hi dear BGL community!

Unfortunately I have to say that bridge wallet from BGL mainnet side was probably compromised, so the amount of around 450k BGL was transferred to hacker's wallet.
Guys are investigating the issue.

This is the biggest hack in all of the BGL's history. Contests are now paused due to these circumstances.

Don't be worried about the bridge funds, they would be reimbursed.

What is the hacker's address?
Please keep us informed of the developments of the investigation and the measures of action that you are taking.

Hello guys!

It appears that stolen funds were distributed between 2 addresses:
https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qt5r7e8cr7uufpf3ga2azr46nzegmz5qxf6dnpu
and
https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qza8rdceqv3kjn5wh33lv3hss8mz57r53qgu8xt
https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qz4x8362m9m36zjhthw5ctpxps323amyft8jt5y

Let's hope the hackers are white hats. I could offer bounty on the return of saved funds (we can count that as a security contribution to the project). Let's say 10-30% of current market value if the funds would be returned (to address bgl1q328ne2tpmm79hrj86uxa7xj62pqrjlsafrhj92).

The bridge has been patched and would resume normal operations shortly. Stuck transactions would be reimbursed too. I would keep you updated.

Hi EmmaWu, I think you have unwittingly given wrong information in the forum.
https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qz4x8362m9m36zjhthw5ctpxps323amyft8jt5y

address is not a Hacker address.

Hello, please do not give wrong information, check more carefully.

https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qz4x8362m9m36zjhthw5ctpxps323amyft8jt5y

Its address is not a Hacker address. You need to make a correction.

I claim this for sure. Because I transferred BGLs from my Hotbit wallet to Mobile wallet on 16.11.2022. Please post information on the forum after a good review.

I haven't been in the thread for a long time, I read about hacking, bridges are certainly susceptible to hacking and need to be audited more carefully, I'm sorry about what happened, but I think the team will cope and the project will only become stronger. I looked at the addresses and transactions of the cracker and at the moment I see these three addresses with a total amount of 438,366 Bgl

Changes are necessary for a better present and future. We must use the past as a basis so as not to forget the necessary principles that leveraged the project.

Hi guys

- we're preparing new version with updates synced with Bitcoin Core (up to August 2022 now).
As we've done previously, here's the minimal (non-Qt) package that could be used as node and tested
https://github.com/BitgesellOfficial/bitgesell/releases/tag/0.1.9
Updates for other packages would follow soon.

- bridge is resuming normal operations

I've tested. It seems, Testnet doesn't syncing yet.

A Bitgesell explorer is a tool that enables you to view real-time and historical information about a node's mempool, visualize its transactions, and search and view those transactions (mainnet and testnet supported)

Hi dear BGL community!

We decided to stop tx contest, will explain why: network congestion was tested, we had full block or ~700 transactions in the block.
BGL blockchain passed a long-running stress-test.
Thanks for all participants!

Information from official telegram chanel.

Quote
Information for those who sell coins for less than three cents. Using BlackMiner F1+ mining device you can get 20 coins per day. In doing so, you use 17 kilowatts of electricity. Now it is not difficult to calculate the cost of one coin BGL. I will leave the fact of buying the device for mining and running costs behind the scenes.

And now the most important question. Why are thousands of devices now mining a coin whose cost is many times higher than its current price? 😉

Hi,

I am trying to send a tx from the webwallet, but there it tells me that I'm using absurdly high fees. I also tried it with the lowest possible fee amount but I got the same result. Can anyone help me?

@vanorton, @EmmaWu how about Lightning Network for BGL?
Up for this question.

Hi guys, Lightning Network technically should be supported by BGL as we are continuously syncing with BTC codebase and this feature should be present 'out of the box'.
Currently there is a space in the blocks for your tx to get there comfortably, so no urgent need for Lightning on BGL, but technically it is there.
Anyone could set up a payment channel if they want to, why not.

because I saw some bridge posts having a bit of a problem, so I bought WBGL on pancakeswap, and it worked fine.
hope to buy more WBGL in this month.  Wink

I did not say that I could not buy WBGL from the bridge. I stated that I could not transfer my BGL coins from my wallet to the bridge no matter what RPC I used and there were plenty of wbgl coins available on bsc network. Why dont you read my posts one more time and this time do it carefully?

PS I used to be a great advocate of this project, just read my previous posts. However, I think that team should provide some updates concerning this project. I believe that Emma was talking about hiring a marketing person back in April of 2022, then there was some talk about a publication in a tier 1 journal, there were also some questions from the community regarding exchanges and lightning network that went unanswered... Dont get me wrong, this project is great and has a great potential but the team needs to provide some updates to the community if they want to keep this project flowing through the bearish times and keep trust from the community.

PS2 I still dont know if the problem with the bridge was fixed because right now there are no wbgl coins to swap through the bridge so I cant test it.

Thank you for the feedback and your support! The main problem is to find a proper person to take care of marketing, unfortunately the search still goes on (open for proposals here), but the activity is present nonetheless, check recent articles.
We are pretty consistent on providing updates at 2nd post in this thread, it's regularly updated, check it out:

Don't worry BGL is here to stay.

Dear Emma,

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I have been testing the bridge by sending BGL coins from my wallet via BSC network and it works fine. Thank you for fixing it.

I think BGL has a very bright future. I personally seeing this as an opportunity to buy a unique blockchain and a better version of BTC at such a ridiculously cheap price.

Do you still plan a publication in a tier 1 journal? Please let us know.

PS May I suggest something that would be potentially helpful? What of you or someone from the team will make either bi-weekly or a monthly brief ( a few sentences) report on BGL progress right here, on this thread? This would help BGL community to stay on the top of things. Please let us know.

PS 2 Best of luck with finding a suitable candidate for marketing.
