Phase 2 ends in 6 hours!  From here on out, tokens increase in price 2% every week!

Only tokens released to market will be the ones that were purchased in phase 1 or 2.  All other tokens will begin only being sold through Omni portal at weekly 2% increase .

Missing the boat now doesn't mean "cheap tokens later".  It means "you missed it".

Cheesy

So, FYI:

The reason that the partnership with Kottackal to audit us is a big deal is because Kottackal helps tech firms get VC in India.  However, to move into that market, you must be compliant, thus the necessity for "auditing" before entering.  Global success standard for "successful" seed funding is $20,000.  Bitland passed that already, so globally have met "success" standards for crowdfunding Wink  That is when you start to get past attention in traditional fintech media, and that is why we have been contacted by many international organizations looking to partner.  Some are just still in the works Wink

http://nextbillion.net/news/press-release-unitus-seed-fund-adds-more-prominent-investors/

November 16, 2014. Bangalore: Unitus Seed Fund, India’s leading venture seed fund supporting startups innovating for the masses, announced that it has now raised over USD $4 million from 16 high net income Indian investors in its Indian rupee fund. Additionally, Unitus Seed Fund announced that leading Seattle area tech executives, including Steve Singh, Diego Piacentini, and Bill Gates have invested in Unitus Seed Fund’s affiliated offshore venture fund. Unitus Seed Fund has more than $20M USD to invest across healthcare, education, mobile commerce & value-added services, marketplaces & e-commerce, retail & distribution, agriculture, water and energy sectors. Unitus has already announced 14 investments in India.

As noted in the September 2014 G8 report on impact investing “…the most common obstacle faced by impact entrepreneurs is securing early stage risk capital.” Unitus Seed Fund and its leadership investors aim to address this challenge through their own work and by encouraging HNI investors to embrace impact more broadly.

“Impact investing is a powerful model with the potential to build markets and drive change for the people who need it most,” said Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. (Bill Gates’ investment is a personal one and not associated with his foundation’s work.)

“I have invested in Unitus Seed Fund because I believe that Indian entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned to field profitable and scalable solutions that unlock opportunity for the masses in India”, said Desh Deshpande, chairman of Tejas Networks. “The Unitus Group has a track record of finding and supporting the best entrepreneurs who are building impact businesses serving the base of the economic pyramid in India, and making good money at the same time. I hope others will join me in investing in impact funds from Unitus Group and other innovative managers.”

Unitus invests in India through two investment funds: Unitus Seed Fund India, a Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)-registered venture capital fund, and Unitus Seed Fund, LP an offshore venture capital fund.

More than 50 leadership investors have committed to Unitus’ offshore India-focused fund, including Bill Gates (Microsoft, Gates Foundation), Desh Deshpande (formerly Sycamore Networks), Romesh Wadhwani (Symphony TG), Vinod Khosla (Khosla Ventures), Steve Singh (Cleartrip, Concur) Soma Somasegar (Microsoft), Dilip Wagle (McKinsey), Geeta Aiyer (Boston Common), Kamesh Aiyer, Pradeep Singh (Aditi), Bharat Shah (Microsoft), Anoop Gupta (Microsoft), Nagesh Pabbisetty (Microsoft), Prady Misra, Vikram Chalana (Winshuttle). A number of leading foundations have also invested, including Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Crystal Springs Foundation, Pfizer Foundation, Sorenson Impact Foundation, and others.

New investors in Unitus Seed Fund India include Srikanth Iyer (former CEO of Pearson India), Sharvil Parikh (Phenix Consulting), Kishore Musale (Astarc Group), Jacob Ninan (Kottackal Business Solutions), Aroon Raman (Raman FibreScience). Unitus is currently accepting inquiries from other HNI Indian nationals wishing to participate in the growth of startup businesses.

“We are very pleased to announce our growing group of Indian HNI investors who see the opportunity to invest in innovative high-growth startups serving the masses in India”, said Srikrishna Ramamoorthy, Partner of Unitus Seed Fund. “We are finding a large number of high-quality entrepreneurs in India who are creating disruptive businesses that can deliver superior financial returns to investors while improving the lives of millions of India’s low-income populations.”

Unitus’ fund is open to receive investments from Indian national investors only, until December 2014.

The new investors have joined with founding investors in Unitus Seed Fund India including T.V. Mohandas Pai (Formerly Infosys CFO), Dr. Ranjan Pai (CEO of Manipal Education and Medical Group), Hemendra Kothari (DSP Blackrock), Pramod Saxena (CEO of Oxigen), Hema Hattangady (Conzerv/Schneider), Ananda Kallugadde (Neobytes), Rajeev Bakshi (METRO Cash & Carry), and Ravi Venkatesan (Infosys, Microsoft, Cummins), and other entrepreneurs and business luminaries, listed here.

The G8 report goes on to say “…there is growing recognition that markets and the private sector must play a more significant role if we are to solve or at least make a dent in addressing some of the greatest challenges facing developing countries worldwide.” The 65 leadership investors in Unitus Seed Fund are doing their part.

I've sent some Bitcoin to the address provided on the site (OpenLedger seemed too complex and their listed BTC rates seemed questionable, so went direct) and emailed transaction proof to [email protected] as instructed...

When/how will the payment be verified?

Will the Cadastrals wallet be entirely hosted on OpenLedger, or will the Bitland site have its own wallet to check the balance from that transaction?

Hello,

I saw that transaction on OpenLedger, but never received an e-mail.  If you could please resend your e-mail, it would be great!

Thanks!

Are you sure?  It doesn't seem like that article has any mention of Bitland, Ghana, or Christopher Bates.

I want to buy land in the Ukraine. I have Bitcoin, LISK and soon WAVES. Can I do it with BitLand?

It is not currently in the plans to go into Ukraine, as that would be much more complex than a lot of other areas, but it is not out of the picture for future expansion.  That is just not going to be something that would be good for early on as a pilot.

Hope that makes sense!

Hello everyone,

I can say officially that Kottackal will be auditing Bitland's process and operations to have an external audit.  Since they deal with tech firms in India, this is essentially Bitland's partnership that will start getting us major traction there.  They will audit our process to make sure that not only are we compliant, but that we are not wasting funds in areas where we could be more efficient.  We have additionally added an internal auditor to constantly be doing operations audits to ensure efficiency.

Cheers!

on top, Bitland is currently a "pilot project" that may they do not want to deal with. If such exchanges are costing much, it might be not good timing at this point of time as Chris mention.

As an investor, it is great opportunity that investing project as a very very early adopter.

Let's focus on to dev and demand creations, IMHO, exchange is next priority at this point of time.

Go Bitland!!  - "This project is not about the land, it's about people live on the land".

Thank you Kame!

You are in line with where we are coming from.  Since this is pilot project, the potential to have so much of the budget go towards getting on Bittrex is a major risk where that money could go much further in pilot project.  That amount could cover the entire utilities for the Bitland center in Ghana for the year, so I would pose to the community that the local pilot center's utilities are more important than Bittrex.

I doubt many objections would be raised, but I am ALWAYS open to new point of view if something is presented with sound logic that cannot be denied by looking at it objectively.

With little funds, objectively, paying to get on Bittrex is just a bad decision this early.

Cheers!

it says Launching is free and at our discretion.  so why not try? does not make sense to pay 6 BTC but they list coins for free too.
there will be no volume for openledger and omni. no one uses that.... being on bittrex will help bitland. I don't know why you don't see that.

I have submitted Cadastrals a while back with no response.  They have a 3 BTC fee listed with another 3 BTC fee as a possible extra fee.

It is not that I don't think getting on Bittrex won't help, it's just it won't REALLY be worth spending 1/10th of the budget if they charge it.  If they let us on for free, awesome!  But at this point in time, if they haven't directly responded, I assume it's because they are going to ask us for money.

When Phase 2 ends and more has gone through Omni, then paying to get on an exchange may be worth it/affordable.  However again, this early in the coin's life, getting on Bittrex would do nothing but dilute the volume, and end up getting Cadastrals delisted.

Openledger will have close to $100,000/day volume by the time Cadastrals go to market.  OpenLedger is an up and coming exchange, and part of the reason we partnered with them is to help build their volume.

Being on Bittrex won't actually directly help Bitland until we have enough community to support being on a big volume.

Getting on Bittrex and then getting delisted would be an embarrassment, and if we just take our time getting there, we won't have to even worry about that scenario.

Cheers!
