My batch 3 order shipping label was printed 3 days ago, and the status hasn't moved at all. The status is still "Ready for UPS".

I even got an email from Bitmain with the tracking number saying the order has shipped, but UPS still doesn't have it.

What the heck is going on? Is anyone else having the same issue?
My batch 3 is the same way hopefully it will be picked up today.

well my Batch 1 order is also still stuck at customs in China since 07/20  Embarrassed

2,18 roubles, which is equivalent of 0,04 €.
On the other hand, when I ordered 3x Antminer S1's a few months ago, they were delayed by the FSB (it's Federal Agency of National Security in Russia) because miners are cryptographic devices and probably they thought that I will hack the government with my miners Smiley I had to go to the meeting with government officer and explain what bitcoin is, what miner is, and so forth. Smiley Officer was amazed, by the way Smiley But receiving that permission took 3 weeks, so my profit was cut very seriously.
On top of that, I have to pay 30% from any purchase bigger than $1000 (or several purchases in one month) to customs. And Russian Post is working like they are dead, three-four weeks delays in sorting facility is normal. So cheap electricity kind of the only plus ))

In America, you mine bitcoin. In Russia, bitcoin mines YOU!!*

Anyone else still waiting for customs?  All of my S3s have been stuck there for almost 7 days now.    :-/   I'm losing all kinds of BTC while waiting.

My batch 1 order was sent on 7/19 and got stuck in Chinese customs for 2 days.
Then went through Alaska and had an import scan in Calif and has been stuck there for over a day.
It was supposed to be delivered yesterday but was updated to today.
So not quite as bad as yours but I still got no S3s.

0.10 including all the taxes in France, but a few days in winter are over 0.50€
Or you can pay 0.14 all year long, but it was less profitable for me than to turn everything off a few days.

My avg. kWh rates are 0.08 USD and could get down to 0.04 but I'd lose 2/3 of each day doing so. (Peak/mid-peak/off-peak hours have different rates/lengths of time and change winter/summer)

I believe you are mistaken about the ship date.

 Batch 1 was to have been fully shipped by 10-20 of July.

Date was changed on Batch  1 to july 14 to july 17.

Not sure of the final date for the batch 3 but I think it was the 23rd-25th.

I am still waiting on a pencil mod that I run the gear at freq 200  get 400gh and burn 220 to 240 watts.

I believe these machines   will be able to give us  .55 to .6 watts a hash with the pencil mod.

the old  s-1   went from stock :

 freq 350  180 gh 360 watts    to freq 275  140gh 180 watts

that was a drop of 2 watts a gh to  1.28 watts   that is  around a 36%  improvement in watt per gh.


it these drop from .75 watts a gh to .6 watts   that is a 20% improvement in watts per gh.

a drop from .75 watts to .56 watts is a 25% improvement.  

      I think it could be done.  That will make these run deep into the 2014/2015 winter and pay for power costs.

I'm still waiting for someone to post HQ pics of the backside of the boards, where the resistors are so I can work on over/undervolt while waiting for my S3 to arrive.
Dogie's picture is focused on the heatsink, the resistors are unreadable.

The resistors are probably 10k and 2.4k for 0.75v
If I'm right on the values, to undervolt to 0.7v, you should make the 2.4k one down to 1.2k.
Putting it down to 820 ohm would give 0.65v output.
4.3k should give 0.85v that is near the max we should expect for overclocking.
If the values aren't 10k and 2.4, it's still the same idea, lower the lowest one to lower the voltage.

Check the resistor next to C472 (at least, it's the marking, I seem to read on Dogie picture) on the upper left at the rear of the PCB.
If it's connected to pin1 of 53355 and output of the coil, it's the one you are looking for.
Try to lower its value and check voltage at the output of the coil. If it dropped, you can do the same with the 7 remaining resistors for the other voltage regulators.
The second idea would be to replace the resistor just over it with a higher value, but it will require soldering, unlike the pencil trick..
Pencil trick on the upper resistor that you clearly see as connected to the heat ducts should give higher voltage, but it isn't precise enough and would risk burning the voltage converter if going over 0.85v.

The one I assume will be 10k is connected between pin 1 of the 53355 and ground. The other one is connected between pin 1 and coil.

It's amazing how much variance there is in the first few batches.  People have reported being able to hit and hold 504GH/s stable at a clock of 250, while others (like myself) can do no over clocking at all, and cannot hit even the reduced advertised stock speeds on all units.  For example, one of my S3s hashes very happily at 441GH/s @ 218.75.  The other one can barely hold 420GH/s at the same clock speed.  I've tried over clocking, under clocking both of them, but neither works.  Any change to a higher clock frequency inevitably leads to "x" and "-" and lower-than-stock hash rates.  I've pulled both of my units apart, cleaned and replaced all thermal paste with AS.  Unfortunately, I'm just one of the unlucky ones.

Oh don't sweat it. The 20GHs difference is literally just pennies a day. The same with overclocking the S3... any increase that people might see is so marginal as to not be worth the effort.

this is correct.

 right now if you have a golden s-3 and it does 237 or 250 and close to 500gh that is nice. ----- but I think it will die doing it based on the dc to dc part they use.


just mine at 212.5  get in the 430's save power and burnout with the B1 to B4 units.

 If the B4 units come with a better dc to dc part then over clock.  I get very good numbers at freq 212.5.

  the two run at 860-870gh and burn 650 watts at the plug  just under .75 watts

If your S3 is not performing at 440 GHs, may be worth a shot to re-flash it.

This was from the S3 thread and not sure why I didn't think of this instead of playing around with the freq's - but it worked. Got my unit I had to set at 212 freq to get 420 up to the 440's at the 218. Anyone with under performing units might try.

I reflashed both of my units, and so far, I cant really see a change.  With underclock at 212.50 I was getting 420-430 gh/s and I put them back up to 218.75 and am getting 442 gh on each.

If you used the link above, you were pointed to the original firmware file...... not the new one.

EDIT:  um... what happened to the new firmware file?

Someone's done something on the site because the links for the manual and the firmware have been switched around.
