Even more reason why this should not be banned from bitcointalk.
On the contrary, this is one of the reasons listed by theymos for banning mixers:
~ allowing them has become too risky/problematic, and it's only going to get worse. Imagine ~ our service providers suddenly banning us due to being "associated" with mixers

BitMixList is under attack by web hosts.

For now, the domain has been moved to BitMixList.org and is registered using Porkbun's domain registrar.

I'm going to have to wait out the transfer period before I can transfer the dot com domain, since it's so new.

The table of contents may have been broken during troubleshooting. I will fix that soon.

Even more reason why this should not be banned from bitcointalk.

Non-promotionally linking to a mixer's ANN thread will be allowed, whether or not it's a defunct mixer.
I don't know, but banning signatures and all promotional activities would be enough.
There's also this part:
- Mixer URLs will be automatically wordfiltered out, but you can still discuss mixers otherwise.
I guess we'll have to see how compatible that is with linking to a site that lists all URLs.

however, theymos understood that it could not be too restrictive, so he eased some of the rules. I believe that over time the most constructive solution will be defined.
Here is the most direct answer from theymos about mixer collections like this.
could you tell me whether my service's thread that ony lists and discusses mixers will be allowed here or I should wipe it before January? The thread in question: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mixhubto-a-maintained-list-of-mixers-for-backup-and-lookup-purposes-5476445

It's OK.

I don't think your topic linking to a list of mixers will survive on Bitcointalk after January 1st though. After that it'll have to compete with the exising lists, and as far as I've seen in the past, many of them advertise phishing sites.

My first thought after reading about the impending mixer ban on Bitcointalk:
Phishing sites are going to love this change! Google has shown ads for fake mixers for years.

I don't know if it's some random downtime or a planned maintenance, so I thought I could alert you here just in case. The Tor mirror works just fine as of now.
I cleared the cookies and the error still exists, so it appears that there have been modifications in the backend and access to the server has been restricted.

The site design is clean, adding the night mode feature, and better control over list arrangement. I do not know how the arrangement is currently done, but there must be a standard of differentiation between these services, in addition to the latest login time for these services to ensure that they are not closed or turned into scam.

OK, there is a known issue when connecting to the site from Tor Browser.

But using New Tor Circuit for this Site button seems to fix it (if not, do it enough times).

Meanwhile I have made a hidden service that does not have this problem: kmzvdt7443fqisu27xw3saxv7rn2pmgx33zd2cy54ev2mbba2xjoziqd.onion

@TryNinja

Maybe another time I will add metadata. I did not really find it necessary at first.

@Bitcoin_Arena

Good to know. I was unaware of the exch.cc domain.

I appreciate the great job done on the website OP.

I would like to point out something about exch.cx, The exchange was founded somewhere in 2016 and not 2023 if you look at how old their ANN is and the profiles that represent them in this forum. For some reason, they abandoned the old domain they started with exch.cc and now use exch.cx

Nicely done, sir! I've bookmarked it and I've also done a complete save, just in case.
It will be a very good source of information for many, and being so simple it could go very high in search results (maybe ref links is the next step?  Cheesy Cheesy j/k)

Maybe theymos changes his mind and then you'll be able to also link ANN pages from bitcointalk. One can hope...

I think you should include official onion links for each website next to the clearnet links.
Another thing I would add on top of the page is date when last update of information happened, as we know how things quickly change in this business Wink
Mixhub.to is also doing a nice job with his list, and I see he has no plans for long term updating, so maybe you two could work together on this.

11 days later, it is finally complete!
That's a lot of time and effort I imagine you put into there although I can not load the site on my side.

Uh oh.

Can you send me a screenshot? Also also tell me what browser you used. Because I can't seem to reproduce this on my end.

Does it work with a VPN? I can spin up a temporary proxy and let you try connecting through that (to rule out any ISP problems). Also is your computer time set correctly - as too much drift can cause this error form as well?

The HTTPS certificate and web server config is auto-installed by Hostinger.

Edit: is it one of these errors?

Great job, mate. More lists by independent users means less chance for one of them to hide a phishing link somewhere.

How about adding some extra metadata about each mixer, like what mixhub does? Stuff like their Bitcoin address used for LoG signing (very necessary for double verification and exit scam prevention) and CDN used.

Whether this thread stays or not is admin's discretion, but I'm not going to delete anyone's posts myself.
I believe theymos said it's fine.

I think in the future we will see and identify anyone trying to constantly shill for certain mixers, I mean some mixers might hire a shill service to have a bunch of strangers coming here and discuss about certain sites that has a directory like yours. This is not about whether it's a good idea to have such directories or not, this is more about malicious actors trying to bypass the ban.

However I think having a page dedicated for mixers in general is useful as long as it has no malicious intent behind it and stays informative without advertising for a certain service.(such as your site).

Good job.

11 days later, it is finally complete!

BitMixList is a single-page site with a directory of mixers on it that's constantly updated. Think LeGaulois' topic, except it lists all kind of privacy services like kycnot.me.

It is lightweight, and requires no javascript! (well except for the "Back to top" button, but if you can't use JS, you probably don't need that anyway  Smiley)

There is also a (very long) history of mixing and mixers on Bitcointalk, and explanations on how mixers work (and break) where they cannot be locked or archived.

I believe this is the most comprehensive website about bitcoin mixers ever assembled. Nothing else comes close to it, not even Wiki pages.

Go bookmark the page so you don't lose it, while the Google SEO works its magic.

This thread is *not* self-moderated. Whether this thread stays or not is admin's discretion, but I'm not going to delete anyone's posts myself.

UPDATE 2024-01-01, posting links to mixers is no longer allowed. Therefore, in order to avoid running afoul of the new rules, I recommend people do not recommend specific mixers when writing a post about it. Instead, they should tell people to look at a mixer list like this one or the mixhub.to website by PrivatePerson.

If anyone has any moderation concerns about this web resource, please PM me. I will be happy to talk.
