That's worrisome. Hopefully some other people chime in. I recently set up a Bittrex account and completed the basic verification, but I've been very nervous to send any coins there because of this frequent account disabling.
Are they requiring people to verify identity/send in passport, etc. when they disable accounts? I'm really not willing to give my passport or social security number to a service like this. They are fly-by-night and I have no idea what kind of efforts they take to secure my personal data. I don't even feel good about giving Coinbase my ID, so I feel extra shitty about the idea of Bittrex locking my account and forcing me to fork over documents in order to get my money out.
not sure about the verification thing since the whole disabling accounts thing is new , but as I said I have basic verification there ( with phone number ) also I have 2FA enabled but even with all that my account got disabled
I would recommend not depositing if you are too much worried about your coins , cause this move by bittrex maybe will lead to start asking people about their IDs randomly
I tried so many times to verify my ID but they have like a program that do the verification automatically , that program refused my ID so many times saying that the document isn't clear while it's perfectly clear
contacted support and asked them to verify my account manually , they refused and asked me to verify through their verification program ( which got me bored and I stopped trying )
What program ?
I got disabled too, and send my photo id but no response for more than 2 days
