I wrote to btc-echo.de and coindesk.com about the issue. Since bittrex refuses to answer, we have to spread the warnings.

Same here. After 4 days just another bot answer!!
They started trading with our money exactly when bitcoin breaked 5000$ !
And I'm in loss because I was on alt coins!
Shittrex keep trading with our money as much as he can and then re enable our accounts when we are in biiiiiiig losssss!
The liar admin of Shittrex told only 0.001 % of our users disabled, how is it possible that only 0.001% of user's problem couldn't be solved after 4 days ?! their support team after 4 days replied to users with 2 bot messages. is it really 0.001 %? are we look like fools?!

I visited their slack channel yesterday and was told that it's a glitch and will be fixed asap. Few minutes later I received a message that my account will be re-enabled tomorrow.

That comment was not posted by any official source or admin.

Several people on the channel stated it was a fake post.
Not sure if it was posted by admin. You might be right.

Same problem here.

Until yesterday everything ok, legacy account with 2fa enabled, 16 eth deposited from my mining activities.

Yesterday morning login on my account and they ask me to verify my account.

Ok, no problem, perform enhanced verification procedure, all right my account is now enhanced.



Login again on my account and now my account is locked!



Open a ticket, only automatic reply.

Ask me for a selfie with my face, personal id and a paper with write bittrex and yesterday date.

Not another reply from support, now wait for another news.

Always remember the cause!
This scammy exchange is not new in the scam field. I remember many times they have put wallets on a 'maintenance' state to prevent the users of interest from trading and now they have disabled a lot of accounts for the same purpose. They are used to this practice in critical market circumstances  and always target people with no or limited access to jurisdiction.

Beware of these shitty scammers, get your deposit out and never comeback, we have descent exchanges (well, not ideal, still centralized but not cheep scammers like Bittrex) ...

My account is 3.5 yrs old, used to be Legacy, just logged in (after being out for 1 wk) and it's now a 'new' account. Have always logged in from same place. No problem whatsoever with withdrawals in the past, no problems at all as a matter of fact. I don't think I've ever needed to contact support. Tired of these exchanges pulling this kind of crap without prior notification. Or was there news and I missed it?

Guess I'll try for the basic verification BS.

I just made a withdrawal and thankfully it went through. Maybe it has to do with location, but I find the lack of communication extremely disconcerting. Won't be redepositing in the near future.
You were blocked and you tried different IP and It went through?

Wasn't blocked but I was being redirected to the verification page every time I logged in. I suspect that these random blockings might have to do with location, but I'm not going to log in with a different IP to find out.  Grin

What the hell is this? I thought at least they would issue a statement for all people to know that they are doing review on the account certain members with problems X, they have twitter, FB and so many means of communication. but they prefer not to say anything. this becomes even more worrying
