DT Token's dev plainly refused to process a withdraw from his exchange, just because he doesn't want to, some unrealistic issues with Nxt blockchain apparently (he made that up, there are no issues)

Check it out yourself how he is ripping me off (did that with others too) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.21227314

SO DT TOKEN, ALSO CALLED DRACO. THIS IS THE KIND OF COINS YOU LIST ON BITTREX? IS THIS DEV A PERSON WORTHY OF HAVING HIS TOKEN LISTED ON BITTREX?

This is what the Draco dev told me, can you imagine how an investor feels on getting insulted and ripped off like this?

"SURE"

"Whatever you say."

"Welcome to the world of Crypto."

"Your issues are your own"

"I will no longer respond to you in any shape or form so please go shout and cry wolf as much as you like"

Bittrex just won't complete my withdrawal of DCT. And they don't let me cancel the withdrawal to try again either. It says "Authorized".

I've done some successful withdrawals earlier and later, but this bigger one (around 20 BTC worth) won't complete. My limit is 100 BTC (I am verified), and I am far away from it. My tokens are blocked in the middle of an endless withdrawal process. This is absurd. I opened a support ticket. No response from their support team. I feel scammed.

So, does anyone know how I can disable the new IP verification on Bittrex? I get that message everytime I want to log in at home and it's really starting to annoy me.

Strange.
Do you use a dynamic ip? Because I never have to verify, at all. And I log in frok different devices. Have you tried verifying your account or use 2fa?

The external IP should be static, but the confirmation e-mails show different IPv6 IP's every time, even though my modem and wifi routers haven't been rebooted between restarts of my laptop / browser.

I do have 2FA enabled, but I still get the annoying IP-thing every time. I understand if they want to check if I log on from a different location, but if I have been logging on from the same device (on the same location) several times, that IP verification shouldn't be enabled, IMO.

Hi,

The IP Verification and IP Whitelisting features are two separate things.  IP Whitelisting can be done from your settings and this just tells us what IP Addresses are allowed to withdrawal on the account.

The IP Verification page you may get at login only displays when the servers see you coming from an IP address that was not previously seen on your account.  We made a page that allows you to check the IP Address we see your connection from: https://www.bittrex.com/home/whatismyip

Even though you may think you have a different public IP address, your ISP may route in a way that shows our servers a different IP.  You should also check your IP at the link I posted, if it matches the one in the email you're safe to click the link to enable the IP.

Doesn't the IP whitelist block every other IP? Else I think the the naming could be better.

If that's how it works, you could end up blocking yourself of your own account.

That's what the warning said at the top of the whitelist tab, but what if he put all the IP address on his IP range as a whitelist? Is that possible? That way, even if his IP changing again, he's still can access the account because the IP change is still at the listed range. But yes, it seema quite risky.

After posting, I vaguely remember that few days ago I was asked to verify my IP too. I checked my email for old message and there it was, the IP verification email.. It didn't cross my mind that I also have this "issue" because I only have to do it once, so it slipped my mind. I wonder if it happened because of the recent 2fa hacking issue. Did you get this security issue recently or it's been since before the phishing issue?

Try to add the IP whitelist. I remember there is this option when I went to verify my account few weeks ago. Go yo your setting, then select the IP whitelist tab. Never tried this one myself, but I hope it helps.

If you have a dynamic IP and your IP changes between logins it's normal and, I would say, technically good for security purposes.

If you disable it, you will have less inconveniences but your account security will be much worse.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
I'm probably beating a dead horse in a sense here but you guys should really add Terracoin to your exchange. It's more worthy than quite a few other coins you still have floating around.

They're on the verge of releasing the biggest update in the coins history!

Hi guys,

what shall I use best to enable 2FA when I don´t have an phone to put Google Auth. on?

Here https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000198612-Troubleshooting-Two-Factor-Authentication-2FA-
they suggest: "a program like winauth/authy" ...

What are your exeriences/advice what to use best?

Kind regards
Stefan

The problem with your plan of action is, that in the case your computer is compromised your
2FA software is compromised as well. This kind of defeats the purpose of Two-Factor-Authentification.
Therefore I would strongly advise you to acquire a cheap, used, smartphone, which you use
exclusively for 2FA.

If you decide to ignore my warning, you can probably use one of the available apps like Google 2FA or
FreeOTP (https://freeotp.github.io/) using an Android Emulator for Windows.
Basically any program that supports HOTP and TOTP should do the trick.

You could also use the following service, which offers a website based 2FA solution:
http://gauth.apps.gbraad.nl/

However, I have never used this site before and therefore can´t make a comment on the trustworthiness
of this particular website.

Hui, useful informations, thanks a lot.
Will go with the used smartphone-scenario... Smiley
Kind regards

Any chance of getting XBC listed on Bittrex? We are working on segwit activation and have auto security checkpointing. You can safely use 6 confirms and we have adjustable security settings on seed nodes. Our whole codebase is being overhauled to bring us up to date and put us in a position where we can add new tech as it becomes available.

I'd suggest you to get a phone and use Google Authorization.

The best and safest method of all.
