Got a problem...

If I leave the app running for a few hours, eventually it stops the trades because it thinks that I don't have enough QTL:

But I do have them on BitTrex:

If I restart the app, it will work again for a few hours. But that's unreliable! Is that a known issue, can this be fixed?

And when I restart the app, it forgets some of my Ping Pong settings, so I have to enter them again :-(

Thanks!

How steady is your internet connection? I get this issue a lot as well. Hopefully he is working on another way to prove our holdings so this doesn't happen.

Hi!

I am new here and just installed your app yesterday for the 1st time. I must say it is super awesome! Works flawless and is rather simple to use (once you get past the feeling of "so many buttons and controls, how do I use it?").

So four questions from the noob...
1. Can it do "ping pong" on multiple pairs or just one? Every time I switch the coin pair, the current auto settings dont change. If cant do in one app, can I run multiple instances of the bot on same computer?
2. What is scalp mode? When do I need it on and when off?
3. What are advanced arbitrage features? Can you post a screenshot? When are they needed? I dont mind getting more qtl to enable them, but I want to know what I am buying first.
4. Is it possible to "pump" a coin with your bot? Lets say I have 1 BTC and 100000 shitcoins which price is 100 satoshi. Can I press a button and start the upward buying trend on this coin. Buying from myself every time higher and higher? Also create volume on bittrex to save the coin from delisting.

Thanks

I am most definitely not the dev but I have enough experience trading to answer your questions to a point.

Pingpong, it doesn't appear that you can pingpong on multiple pairs on one exchange at a time. And yes, you can run the bot more than once, but be careful with the api calls on the exchanges, bittrex is now at 1s/call, polo is at 3calls/second, and cryptsy I have no clue, I never received a response to my inquiry when I was investigating why the bot went funky.

Scalping is a time "honored" technique of taking a very small profit from the market, IE, buying @ 0.01 and selling at 0.010001, so long as you cover your tx fees and make a small profit.
Arbitrage is taking advantage of the price differences between markets, if you can buy xyz from polo @0.01 and sell at cryptsy for 0.011, thats an arbitrage. The advanced arb features are only needed if you want to arbitrage, you don't need to unlock them if your going to use the HFT functions.

Pumping a coin? Most exchanges if not all are setup to not allow you to trade with yourself. If your looking to pump a coin, you will need to learn how the pump and dump works and how to orchestrate one. This is not the place for to discuss that.

Thank you for your reply.

PS: I don't want to "pump and dump". I want to "pump" only: lose some of my own BTC, but raise the price of a coin and save it from delisting.

Your wanting to Pump only, but what happens when you stop pumping? It crashes and eventually gets delisted. You would be better off in the long term by raising adoption and recognition of the coin you want to save.

If you believe in the coin longterm and are willing to risk some coin, you could setup some buy walls and start accumulating that coin.

If you just want to push the volume of the coin, setup 2 bots running on 2 different accounts/apis and use them to pingpong the coin, you will be buying and selling from yourself but it will increase the volume. Do me a favor and tell me what coin so I can get my bots on it as well. Smiley

Hey everyone,  I'm still here.  I've been getting requests for additions of other exchanges and additional auto trading functions.  I've been busy with a couple of other projects, but look forward to finishing updates for the Quatloo Trader.  That will be within 2 weeks.  The other new thing I wanted to throw out there is the idea of updating the Quatloos wallet and core code to change the first halving event. ( when the mining block reward goes from 17.01 to 8.505).  Its not settled yet , but this may happen within a month and will change the first halving to occur in April or sooner.  I'll make a decision within a month and I welcome proposals on how to proceed.

finally im done 12hr shift every day.. now 8hrs and wekends off.. so the work begins tomorrow full swing with quatlootrader

Hi everyone, I'm popping in to give an update on how things are going.. I know its been a while.  The job site I've been at since Feb 6th just keeps having additional problems with multiple units.  when we finish one major job... another unit goes down.  I've been working mostly 12hr days since the start with not much time at all for my software projects.  I was sure we were going to finally be only working 8hr days a few times but it didn't last very long.  a few 8hr days then ..boom!  back on 12 hr shifts.  I'm again working 12hr days and it looks like for at least another week.   SO.. Just understand that I'm not gone and I'm not going to stop working on the the Quatloo cryptocurrency or the Quatloo trader.  A new wave of updates will be still 3 weeks away. C-Cex exchange work did start weeks ago when I had a week of 8hr days. The trader , for the most part is still working pretty well, I still use it a lot.  Stay tuned and I will keep you all in the loop!

Its late and I didn't get a chance to read all the new posts in this thread.

Hey everyone.. some good news... I'll finally have time to resume coding by the end of this week and should be able to get back on track with my ideas for Quatloo and the Quatloo Trader software . I'm going back on regular 40 hr weeks at my job and will have much more free time again.  One thing I wanted to address was the change I proposed for Quatloo to halve before the 2 year mark.   I had said I was shooting for the halving to happen in April.. The new target time is early or mid May.  More to come on this matter...

so you prolly got stuck with 12 hours shifts again, maybe next week?

It doesn't crash, just pops up that error. Wasn't sure if it was still functional or not though. I wasn't getting the error up until I installed patches and rebooted on the 15th. I tried rolling them back last weekend but that didn't work either. Could be a coincidence with the API change. On this Wednesday I patched everything back to the latest again and still get the popup. I just hit continue for now and will monitor.

I had the same issues starting about the same time. There is no coincidence, it is definitely the changes made by bittrex to the api. When I emailed them they told me I or it was set to 10s/call, they then changed it to 1s/call which is still insane, poloniex for example allows 180 calls/minute.
I spent 2 days trying to figure out what was going on and it is most definitely a combination of how the bot handles issues with an api and the changes that bittrex made.

A developers worst fear, when a technical issue fixes itself.

The Apps auto functions are indeed working again, Bittrex seems to have original placed a limit to 1 API signal per 10 seconds(something among those lines). It seems to have now changed to 1 signal every 1 second, Limiting me only from spam clicking the refresh button, looks okay for now.

Some of the functions work, but the list of coin balances in the arb windows stays zeroed for the most part for bittrex.

Good to hear it's working for some but it's still crashing here. Was working fine before all this started. Can you release the test version  on the off chance that works for the rest of us  Huh

Let me start by saying thank you, this bot has been great. However I have been having issues lately. Whenever I try to run arb I have been getting the crash below. I am running windows 8.1 pro x64, fully up to date.

Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Markus and I are testing fixes to bittrex's new api. We hope to have an update out soon.

You guys are awesome! Any time I make enough using it you will be getting some BTC for sure. Love the features and it's really powerful. You all did a helluva job!

Kudos and thank you so much!

I second this. Keep up the good work. Maybe we can find a way to make this your full time job Smiley

just go work markus's fulltime job so he can come finish  qtlT :p

Yeah, been there done that, no thank you Smiley

I was speaking seriously, I am running a colored coin/open asset that is backed by arbitrage trading. I have not done any hard math but I would have no problem giving them 1% of my overall profits for their support maintaining the bot. This is one of those situations that if enough of us pledged enough capital we could likely help make the bot a fulltime job Smiley
