The amount you get from staking is random, but the chances of a staking to occur depends on the amount of coins you have.

encrypt it make sure you keep the password safe! then goto the console and type walletpassphrase (yourpasswordhere) (9999999 true) the number of seconds it will be unlocked for ex walletpassphrase flipflop 999999 true
some of my fellow developers are saying to no encrypt. ive had this wallet open 5+ days and it has the same balance i originally deposited. =S

since the author or the OP never responded to me, via PM, I hope someone can help me understand when POS is earned. I've had my wallet up for days and nothing. I'm new to POS and would like to see how this works.

- option to disable staking (e.g. blackcoind -staking=0)

Now I with the v1.0.2 I see "Expected time to earn reward is 6 hours".
But I have been holding my coins for one week now - is that not counted?
What about a little bit of explanations inside the client, perhaps in
"menu ... help ... how blackcoin works ..."
And the Windows client is STILL crashing.
