Hello everyone!
I am new in crypto world. I choose Bytecent. I downloaded program 'Bytecent 2.3.0 Full Version' and installed it.
Now i think I have a problem. When I am starting bytecent program I see 'Bytecent synchronization' (look at screen below)

Is it a normal situation? 56 weeks, really?  Cool

It means 56 weeks behind, it will not take 56 weeks to update. However, it will take a few hours to sync.

It's a really beautiful project. I think there will be many better places in a short time.
Thanks Christopher

Is there no pool for this anymore or are we stuck solo mining this for now?

The purpose of the coin is to solo mine.

Hello everyone,

I am happy to announce the iOS version of AQ Rewards is now available: http://aqrewards.com/ios/

You must open the link in your iOS device.

Best,
Christopher

Hi Christopher, how many developers are working in Bytecent? and do you have funds to ensure development?

Thanks and congratulations.

Between my company and Avanquest there are several developers, and the project is well funded.

I think other sites should also be traded. It is very maligned by this state.

Hello everyone!

I installed bytecent on my Windows 10 notebook.
It is running, because it appears in the Task Manager, but no GUI appears nor has CPU and disk use, just memory.
Has anyone ever had anything similar?

Hello everyone,

As you have noticed, Bytecent buy support and market cap have been steadily increasing over the past few months. People mining and using the AQ Rewards app have had decent buy support to unload their Bytecent.

Bytecent market cap is small compared to many other coins, but I would like to point out our market cap started at $35,000. I wanted Bytecent value and market cap to grow naturally over time as the project matured.

Some of you have been asking about the wallet and other Bytecent related projects. Since day one I made it clear there would not be a public roadmap for numerous reason. In crypto when deadlines or expectations are not met, people are quick to criticize the project. The wallet and other updates will be announced when they are done. That is how it has been since 2014.

Within the next two weeks, I will be converting BYCTalk.com to a dedicated forum. Spam control on the old platform isn't working, and the social networking features are not necessary. The new BYCTalk will have better spam control and easier to navigate. I will still keep this thread open, but BYCTalk will be the main forum.

Also, now that we have decent buy support, I will be relaunching the gift card service. You will be able to use your Bytecent to buy virtual gift cards again.

There have been some complaints, and they have been noted. However, I will never be able to please everyone. I know some have been waiting for the new wallet, but the current wallet works and people are able to mine. The new version will be ready soon.

Lastly, there were a few comments about my political views, mainly from one troll in particular that complains about everything from the market cap to what I do with my free time. He wanted to see the market cap increase to $500k, and when it did he found something else to complain about. Like everyone reading this post; I have a personal life, and what I choose to do with my free time is no one's business. I do not discuss my political views here in this thread or on this forum because it is inappropriate.  Nonetheless, if someone has a problem with my views they can simply move on to another coin.

Have a great weekend!

About a month ago, dev posted the new wallet would be ready "soon", along with some other developments..  Does soon mean before end of Q3, end of year??   Huh   Other projects have roadmaps with timelines that do get pushed back from time to time, I think it's ok for the dev to give ballpark dates so we know what to expect.
Also hoping the android app comes back in some form, definitely some potential in this project!

I think when it comes to BYC I would use Tony Vays' definition of soon, which is "some time this decade".

Why is there no development on social media since 2015?

Because there hasn't really been much?

It would be nice if OP would update the first post with Alcurex echange too, since it is traded there too:

Today for the first time Bytecent market cap went above $600,000, congrats everyone!

Little late, but congrats.

Same here, congrats  Grin

Also.. are you aware of all the double spending attacks on low volume coins? this time was QTL and soon will be delisted from Bittrex, are you planning to move to PoS or something else?

https://microcapcrypto.com/byc/

I think he provides some very good constructive criticism as overall he sees promise in Bytecent and most of the problems he raises can be easily addressed  Smiley

IMO the author should first learn the difference between PoS and PoW coins before writing reviews, or maybe even read his own quoted pre text:

"Bytecent is a superior alternative to conventional rewards programs. By harnessing the CPU power of thousands of computers globally"

Other than that he's pretty much nailed it, we need less "soon" and more action in crypto.
