You can use more than one copy at a time using separate BYC addresses to mine.

I wasn't asking if i can use more then 1 copy.
Problem is i can't use even single copy cos of this "region or you have been banned" message.

Currently no regions are banned. So either your IP was flagged or you are trying to mine on a commercial network.

I've tried to reconnect my router few times(my provider gives dynamic IP) and got "banned" message with any IP.
Can you be more specific what is meant under "commercial network"?

A company or school network. I will look into it later and make sure you are not being banned for another reason. I will be releasing a new version soon that will ease the mining security so more people can mine.

thanks for all this speculative thought for all of us and your this generosity will lead to us at right road map.which is called success.

This just shows how speculative these coins still are.  That is changing, slowly, but surely.  We will eventually see value determined by measurable success.
Agree with this!

The whole Bytecent system seems to be very strange to me. Although I read how it works and checked out their "client" things don't really get more clear. Using a nicely built GUI is probably a good way to catch a lot of unaware users to push the whole network, but it can't work out very well for a long time imho
People mine and get coins when they find a block. That is how cryptocurrencies work, what in that do you not understand?

In all fairness it is a peculiar system, but it makes sense from a reward network point of view. I have been following Bytecent for a long time now and really see it as a sleeper coin that can become very successful. These are my reasons:

Longtime active developer: Christopher Bouzy has been working on this coin consistently since late 2014.
No big holders: In the wallet distribution you can see that the coins are spread out evenly (except exchange wallet), so seems there is not one huge holder somewhere that can depress the price anytime: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/byc/#!wallets
Network is alive: Due to the fact that people are actually using the rewards app, you can clearly see transactions going through the network. You would expect the network to be almost silent at this low price, but people are really using it: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/byc/#
Network is strong: There are 23 peers: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/byc/#

Cant wait for this! Roll Eyes
I think many would agree with me that right now bytecent is undervalued.. they have been here for quite a while and dev still active while keep maintain the developments, hope you will get rewards for your hardwork soon dev..

Thank you for your kind words. Although Bytecent is not a top 10 coin, and we do not have a million plus market cap, our network is very active. People are mining, people are using AQ Rewards, and our daily transactions are on par with coins with million dollar market caps. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/byc/#!overview

We are slow and steady, and eventually others will see the value in our project.

Best,
Christopher

Can someone please explain how the total and circulating coin supply works? Is there a cap to the total number of coins?

I can definitely see the marketcap going up on this coin, but of course that can happen due to the coin supply expanding while the price remains the same...

525,600 BYC mined per year over 50 years.

Thanks Bytecent!

I like what I see here..... following  Smiley

It's nice to see a coin being managed by a hero member of this forum, instead of a newbie who are anonymous, why is the coin not listed on Yobit and Nova,it's a good coin with a lot of supporters ,judging from the date of it's creation it's much better to invest here than this new ico coin that pops up daily.

We are looking into other reliable exchanges now with our partner. We understand traders want multiple exchanges.

Any news about bytecent? I can see dev tweeting about asshole mr trump but nothing about bytecent Sad

I post updates here, and I only tweet about major Bytecent updates. We are finishing up a new version of AQ Rewards and it will be released Monday or Tuesday. We are also finishing up the latest version of the Bytecent wallet. The new version will remove many of the current restrictions.

Best,
Christopher
Will the new version be open source? Will we see pool mining again in the future?

No, but mining will be easier.

Hey, I think this project is very interesting but I struggle to see how it transfer its value back to the investors. The inflation is horrible, and users of the partners reward application(s) will inadvertently suppress the price with their continuously redeeming of the tokens. Am I missing something or is there something else on the table that makes this a worthwhile investment?

"Inflation" if gauged against specific timeframes will look very different. You can't prevent users and partners to redeem tokens, that's really going around the whole idea of putting value to the tokens. Risk may not be equal with any coin but they're actually always similar if you think about it. There are a lot of others with more on the table, but which have already failed or are doing worse.

(NOT a supporting statement for Bytecent at all!)
