whats the global plan for this coin?
A few little pieces here and there...pushing forward underneath this project...we've been neglecting our Bitcointalk.org comms, partly because the account we've been using here didn't have email notifications turned on (DERP!). To catch up, peep our website: http://www.canadaecoin.ca
As for the "global plan"...we don't have a global plan per se, but we do have a very local plan involving our IRL partners and their brick-and-mortar based businesses (one a communications shop, the other an industrial supply business) in pushing CDN forward as a point-of-sale platform for our internal operations. Our communications shop has an incoming Robocoin ATM due prettyclose to anytime (most recent delay as the bill readers are a bit finicky with the new Canadian polymer bills) and the purpose of that machine is just...facilitating usage I guess? We aren't fencesitters or talkers...we use cryptos heavily for our own personal transactions as much as possible and see obviously a HUGE barrier to adoption is getting BTC into a persons hands...quickly. I love it...I'll be able to get up from my desk, go over, slip $20CAD in and buy some BTC w/a 1% transaction fee (Thank you Robocoin! LOL). The nextdoor industrial supply business (more on this) has a CAD ATM to facilitate Robocoin transactions when it arrives.
Sorry this isn't a Robocoin commercial, just meant to convey a bit of our seriousness in this project.
Our IRL partner the industrial supply business has frequent complaints from purchasers in completing remittances for overseas purchases. I'm not talking pizzas here, dudes, I'm talking palettes and crates of steel, hoses, fittings, valves, pipes, etc etc...and orders beginning in the $25,000 USD range for smallys. I'm also talking immense friction, typically days long delays for confirmations and order updates and overseas communication issues, and idiotic fees associated with wire transfer (that's always what suppliers want, they push the payment inconvenience onto the customer...sadly).
We are fricking sick of it...internally we are pushing suppliers in acceptance of BTC (the conversations are getting more and more interesting!), and working on the buildup of apps and services for Canada eCoin to make it a viable point-of-sale platform. Install the wallet and hit the faucet...it's screaming fast and has huge potential as a quick POS solution.
As for CDN the project...we have some bounties on our website and we're beginning to aggresively recruit talent, we're working on votes on different exchanges and with mining pools...you know...the usual in pushing a crypto project forward. Building community =D
I gotta jump off here and head home from the office...but I apologize for neglecting this forum and will be updating and developing the content and announcements here...
this will get better((er)etc).
PEACE,
dR3 (on behalf of los Cinqos Rednexos ahahaha)
