Thanks to everyone that has submitted on our token page.
Remember that if you are the owner of an inactive project you can submit your details on that page too and we'll contact you to discuss a cooperation.

As we prepare to move to the actual swap stage of the project and validate our use case in the real world we will be launching a new website.
The first part of this is our Token Swaps page where users can fill in the tokens they want swapped and when/if we get to that coin we'll notify all holders.
Project owners can also submit projects that are looking to shut down or be bought out.
Check it out here and tell us what you want us to buy - https://www.coinjanitor.io/token-swaps/

How long do you guys think is the right amount of time to leave a token swap window open for holders of inactive coins?
We're going to be starting the swap process soon with some coins and this is a question that is important for coin holders. And thanks for the input!

Within 2 years it will be obvious for the need of a mechanism that can recycle crypto projects that have stopped and allow a way to salvage aspects of a project into another community. CoinJanitor aims to be that mechanism. Help us educate the market and make crypto healthier.

We're proud to announce that you can now trade CoinJanitor $JAN tokens for $BTC at two more places - Vertex and SouthXchange.
This is part of our effort to help shitcoin holders get bitcoin back for their inactive coins.

Whether you agree with the chosen course or not, I truly feel the team is doing all their best to actually take care of their project and i'm confident they eventually bring JAN to a  exchange which will benefit the initiative!
Thank you for the support. And we are!

What the heck is this coin? That name got me intrigued. Grin
Thanks, we love the name too!
Simple mission: to clean up crypto by recycling failed crypto projects. Therefore the name Janitor.

I like idea but i just dont get the idea from where the profit will come. I have read the whitepaper but lets say im not strong in economics so maybe can You explain it simple with Your own words.
not wery active group...

True that the group is quite passive, but I think that's because there are very few numbers of people involved on the team. I think this group is a one-manned team? Their aim is great, though. And to answer your question (I vaguely think I've actually encountered such question, but can't find it anywhere within the last three pages of this thread) their aim is to "merge" abandoned and dead coins into their bodies, giving a chance of certain coins (ones that already abandoned by respective team of the said project and we, as token holders, consider as nothing more than a worthless coin on our wallet) to get some value and being sold, then "erased" from etherchain, thus cleaning the directories from "junk coins". CMIIW dev.

Thanks, yes we have not been as active here as we should or will. But we are not passive in our efforts. Merging is one option but there are others depending on the scenario. Right now we are working on closing the buyout terms with the first coins. This takes a lot of work but until we can announce the first coins there will not be a lot of "news". But we will be more available here to answer any questions or comments. Thank you!

We agree that another exchange is not the priority right now.
We're in talks with some deadcoins at the moment and actively looking for more "intros" to coin owners.
Once we've done the first round of buyouts then we will do more listings and some other partnerships..
Thanks to everyone for supporting and believing in us even while we've been quiet on forums and social. We are pushing hard and everyday and The Janitor will succeed in cleaning crypto!

I don't think another exchange it's a priority right now. Most important is the first round of coin buyouts, this will prove the project is working.

Telegram announcement September 12:

After speaking with many exchanges and people in the community we believe dex is key. And we have chosen our first to be a team we know with an exciting roadmap that will benefit JAN. The exchange space ia changing rapidly and we have listed for the future of the market. We will be listing on others in the coming weeks but now we will be focusing on closing our first buyouts! JAN is live on https://azexchange.io/

Best time to list Coin Janitor on the exchange I think is going to be between week 2/3 September. I forecast dump at this time.
If the market rebounds well in the next 2 weeks, listing Coinjanitor on the exchange will be very reasonable. The current situation shows that your prediction is relatively accurate.
