I registered two places, they dont have the bitcoin sign
Good!

The bitcoin logo is a default icon; ideally it always should be replaced by a more specific one.

Ciao!

I would like to ask you about the icons/the signs that appear on the map over a certain place. Most of them have the bitcoin sign, but some dont- they have a sign for hospital or park or something else. So whats the deal with that? I registered two places, they dont have the bitcoin sign- is that a problem, is it important?

I see reference to permalinks in this thread but I can't seems to confirm if they are working? I'm trying to share a map of my local city with the community showing our available locations without them having to use geolocation. Is this feature available? How can I get a URL that shows the local city?

I added a location, an ATM, about a week ago and it doesn't show on coinmap.org  Any suggestions?

Post some more info (where, node number etc) and we might be able to help.

Sorry, didn't think about the obvious...
Node is #27122527.  Location is 700 SW 5th Ave. Portland, OR 97204.  Company just added a bitcoin atm, was hoping to add it for them, as coinmap.org is an awesome map!

Thank you for helping and advice!

I "found" this great site (http://www.coindero.com/) that show places that accept Bitcoin and that is synchronized with OpenStreetMaps' database.

Can somebody help me out?

I want to add a location for our new Bitcoin ATM. I've never used Open Street Map before and it doesn't seem immediately obvious. I created an open street map account, but where do I go from here? Thanks!

Nice work on Coinmap! I just discovered it and added my restaurant - CDXX in San Francisco. We will be accepting bitcoin starting tomorrow, 11/7!

Cheers,

What do you think about becoming an Identifi node?

It can be a good and decentralized way to add feedback on merchants Smiley

WalletScrutiny.com

Is something broken? Litecoin works, but Bitcoin doesn't.

works fine for me

Guess it's just the long load time. Here the json is downloaded at the 7s mark. Not sure how much processing adds to this. Given download starts at 4s, it would maybe be worth adding it somehow differently, so it gets loaded 4s earlier or start working with some model that scales better by having maybe a header file with just the totals per country so you get something quickly.
