 I am still worried that there will be a significant dip once it hits cryptopia, due to people taking advantage of ATH and a useful exchange to sell their coins. But your post is a good counter to the idea that the team themselves will be doing a mass dump when it hits the market.

ALWAYS, install the wallet... then encrypt it... then backup the .dat file... and keep AT LEAST 2 COPIES not on your hard drive... like upload one to google drive, or any other online storage area... and put the other on an external memory stick... then you can restore your wallet anywhere... any time... any place... as long as you have access to at least one of those two external backups... make more than 2 if you like... but the very minimum 2 external ones...

Do exactly the same if you are running on a VPS... Then you'll never have a problem...   (y)

Yes, you can use the windows wallet on a VPS for staking... but it is better to keep your coins on a local machine...

If you re-read the original post it says -

That means about 1.6B were not swapped.
5% of unswapped coins are going to a dev-fund for marketing and bigger exchanges -- 80M coins
That leaves 1.52B coins to be burned and an initial total supply of only 10.48B coins

I would just think though, with an actual solid coin, a growing community that is effectively starting to spread the word, and with so much more room to grow, I would have to think that the team would hopefully see more value in pushing the price up higher by just keeping this momentum going.

I personally don't think so... why would they want to dump..?  They've put years of work and thousands of hours very hard work into this project and I truly believe that they want it to be a great success for everybody...

I'm totally independent and have never even spoken with anyone on the team but just reading through all the threads on hear you get a very good feel for the team and their motivations... Like the great work they have been doing with BIONIC and people sharing computer power to help find new cancer markers... There's no way on this planet a pump and dump squad would give one iota about doing something philanthropic like that and I take my hat of to them for doing such an incredible job...

As I said in an earlier post it's been pump, puump, pump... we'd have seen at least one dump by now if it was a pump and dump squad...  IMHO...   (y)

Well done!  That does sound like quite a mission... but at least you achieved it now... and once you've unlocked your wallet for 'anonymisation and staking' you then just sit back and relax and let the coins mature for 7 days then the little arrow at the bottom right of the wallet will go green to confirm that you are staking.

'Staking' just means that your wallet is connected to the network and can process transaction blocks for which you earn rewards from time to time... The more COLX coins that you hold in your wallet the more chances there are that yours will be chosen for the reward so the more you hold the more you receive...

So you've definitely done all the hard work already now and just sit back, relax and enjoy the rewards of all your efforts!

Well I began staking tonite.  I have no idea what I just did, but I can tell you it took hours to get COLX into the wallet I downloaded to my lonely laptop, I prefer my iPad or Samsung S7.  My first problem was my wallet wouldn't sync.  After reading what someone deemed a "Help Guide", I concluded to do what even the most seasoned techie would do...REINSTALL!!!!  Well that seemed to work as the wallet began syncing from about 28 days.  Dammit that took I know 2-3 hours... REALLY??? Then I encrypted the wallet.  From there I then had to go to find an exchange to purchase COLX.  Decided on TradeSatochi...got that all setup.  Then I decided to use Litecoin...I have none!  So it's off to Coinbase to buy Litecoin.  Since I'll need it like...right now!  I used my linked credit card and purchased some LTC which was instant, the only damn thing that is lightening fast since I got into trading crypto!!!  Ok now got my LTC. So I prepare to send it to the exchange which took less than 10 mins after 6 confirmations, not too bad.  I purchase COLX...that was pretty damn fast too!  Ok finally getting somewhere hours after I started.  I left my Colossus wallet running on my laptop.  I'm jumping from my iPad to my cell phone to my laptop!!! You'd think I was mission control to fucking Mars!!!  Ok where was I...yeah about to sent my coins to the wallet.  I stumble around the wallet's interface and copy the deposit address to the withdraw address at Satochi.  I verify that these coin are truly going to my wallet and not to someone half way around the globe.  I wait and wait and BOOM!!!  The coins are in my damn wallet!!  Taaaadaaa and my next trick...stake these babies!!!  Sadly, after all that I have NO CLUE what will happen next, but I was damn determined to get those coins in that wallet...that part of the mission was a success!  As for the main objective of staking well that remains to be seen in 7 days or is it 14?  Oh yeah what's staking again???  No techie talk please! I've read enough of that tonite!!!

Really need a bit more info like what operating system, is it a fresh install, are there any coins already in the wallet, etc.

If it is a new install with with no coins in the wallet simply delete everything and re-download it and start again from scratch...
