I've been advised to publicly share my experience with the community to prevent others from going through a similar experience.

Last night I agreed to purchase 1 million COMM for 0.2 BTC from 'SANBASHIYI'.  Having read very positive reviews from senior members who'd done business with SANBASHIYI I made the mistake of not using an escrow service.  Everything went smoothly and SANBASHIYI even acknowledged receiving the funds.  His last reply was "OK WAIT A MINUTE"...then he was gone.

The unfortunate reality is that people are willing to sell their reputations and good name for what in the big picture is an insignificant amount.

To minimize this loss I've asked Community Coin's developer if he would consider sending me SANBAYISHI's second round coins.  Either way I've come away from this experience appreciating the culture of Community Coin so much more.

It's experiences like this which make us 1000X stronger and wiser.

wow sad to see that. that is worth 2M comms right? Hope the community can donate some to you.

Appreciate the support.  It was worth 1M COMM....he was selling at 20 satoshi each.

I cleaning up the second round list, about 280 people to process.

@devs

Please DO NOT initiate the second round until the Multipool is running...  TRUST ME!!!    Wink

Yes!

let us have the multipool up and running so that people think twice about selling cheap after receiving the second stake.
Agree with you and I think it is better to show the name list of second round.

those early sellers, publicly, not active supporters will be omitted in the process list. those we impress that he is not going to support. I remove at second round. Read op again if any questions. I dropped here when i am checking a profile. I am happy to see community motivated. Here is from me some updates.

this is http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/2nd-round-raw-list-1684/#post8020 second round initial raw list.
i check those if any problem with community rules and then will process with second 2m if you are not exists in this list and received before  you were not active, maybe not yet processed you (late or newer members processed later times so we see who did what better) and we continue getting applications to reach 500 exactly. then prepare blacklisted ones list, their coins put on a WAR wallet to be used in critical events, anything community cant or difficult to handle. So we all can rise in this forest to sunshine.

Keep producing for the community.

Thank dev for your hard work.

Comm dev is the most serious dev I have seen

I have confidence that community coin will have brightly future

Well said !

Early last year I was trading on the BTC talk threads (from Feathercoin through dozens of others). At the outset, I was scammed many, many times, but I just pushed on regardless...and I am glad I did !

Live and learn : the CryptoCurrency space is a Brave New World. .. We are starting COMM off on a good base of Founder Members, many of whom well understand the nature of this revolution. There will always be knaves, thieves and argumentative people (this is a pretty public space, after all)... COMM is aiming to exclude them as much as possible in the early stages.

Why i´m not on this list?  http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/2nd-round-raw-list-1684/#post8020

I spread the word, helping community, spent coins,.. so what?

btw. I ve got kids so i can´t be here every second....

Even i am not on the list, is this the final list?
no, initial one, it will develop more in time, but i want to process some chunk soon so we can remove some stress.

well, it is so quick to spread the second round, hope I can get on the train.
let's make it success.

I find it quite ridiculous that it's a coin that's apart from the PoS concept that I actually find very appealing, is about some "fair distribution" based on if people has contributed or not and the limit you have to pass is to posts 50 messages on here. As if the crypto community only consist of this forum... [Edit: typo]

Not ridiculous at all.  No absolute fairness at all.
We indeed need some rules to select the initial stakeholders in order to distribute the 100% PoS coins. So we have rules to select active members.

I have 2 of mine accounts hacked (with history on forum for ~3 years) they shilled & promote COMM for a stake, which was accepted.
undoubtedly based on circumstances and trivial analysis same user/group has hacked half-dozen accounts at bare minimum all of which have got stake successfully. could easily be anywhere from 2-10 times this amount however. I have also used few sock accounts to request more stake than I'm entitled to. the process was successful and look forward to collecting it.

Regards

That is really nice of you, that you take the opportunity away from others. Even though it happened to you, you don't need to repeat it, and then still proudly bragging about it. I just read about COMM today and applied today. I hope I will get a chance since I truly believe in PoS coins with a good community support.

I don't think that it was a good idea to release the coin to an exchange so early on, as the whole distribution is not even finished. As you can see a lot of people dumped their coins for a quick profit.

So many people sold their COMM on the exchanges.  It makes it look like they just wanted the free COMM and not to be part of this community.  I think it's best to hold and let this develop.  I am not part at this time so I have to buy COMM on the exchange.

Makes little sense to sell COMM right now. We don't even have the multipool up yet. Some people have no patience. This coin is going to do big things, especially if we can get it on MintPal.

There is idea by Adriano to make separate page for the information above, as well as transparent donation mechanism. I'll provide him actual information, and he'll update that page with provided information.
Now the priority is Multipool.

Good idea. A simple website with a clear roadmap and updates on any development and donations would be terrific.
