maybe is better if they will apply different prices based on the country where they operate, based on fact that even 1$ can be a lot in certain countries

This is certain. For different countries there should be different prices. Since a person will prefer a pirated film than pay a large price for it.

I think the intention was also to focus on low income countries first. And i believe this is smart, that is a market that can probably use a streaming/Netflix type service, but can't really afford Netflix.
Today it is not easy to use different prices because it is hard to identify where the user comes from. It is easy to fake the country where you access the internet.
Maybe the language could be a chance to use different prices.
To use a ID to set the country would have a good result but needs lots of effort before watching a movie.

If they are offering different prices for different countries what would someone stop from using a VPN to get the cheaper price?

if you charge people the right price it wont be worth the hassle doing that

The only risk in here is they have low income and they barely afford food and etc. So will they pay cryptoflix for streaming? Or can they pay?

Maybe they will change the price based on video quality which makes sense to me, country with poor connections->poor->quality->cheap

If I am not mistaken they also said this before that they will make prices regarding the region in which people are living. But that is nearly a standard these days. In Europe you pay often much more for stuff then in the USA.

But you cannot make it cheap because other countries would buy the account with VPN or so to get the lower price. Other platforms has done this too, iam sure there is a good way to stir around this.

You might get different libraries in this case since they want to offer region specific content iirc.

that's the challenge that all service providers must face. which is why , in my opinion, a subscription service is better, than paying by film.

As far as I know there's no subscription on Cryptoflix, you'll only pay when you watch something (video on demand model)

then the price has to be really low for it to compete with Netflix. Unless we're talking higher prices for newer releases.
I really want to know the estimated price, for example how much it will cost to stream "Forrest Gump" ? They will provide some old movies right?

Maybe you pay the time you watched in cryptoflix. For example 10 hours monthly for 1.99 usd or else. With this you cant prioritize the movies old or new etc. And people just pay what they wanted.
It is difficult to maintain the fixed price in USD, considering, especially what was mentioned above, about starting in South American Countries. It is necessary to evaluate the values to be charged separately, without losing the notion of what they will pay monthly in that particular Country, especially now as many Countries aiming at the Regulation of the Crypto

Maybe at least in the beginning they won't tie the price to fiat, but rather have it in FLIX tokens. This would also be an additional incentive to hold some tokens, therefore trading volume will be good.

By the way I'm expecting low prices since this was created with poor people's situation in mind. But I can also say that even Netflix is pretty cheap, here we pay around €11/month for a massive catalogue

The problem is Netflix is still not available in many countries and I suggest cryptoflix to take advantage of it. Target heavy population 2nd and 3rd world countries.
Netflix got not that much languages or subtitles. They just focus on big markets. That's a chance for cryptoflix
Bear in mind that making even subtitles requires hiring expensive translators which could be hard to afford
They could start with a bounty campaign to translate the movies. I think many people in developing countries would this for a small salary.

Now many non-English speaking countries, many translators do translation for free because they love movies.
If they can get some salary reward, more people will come in to translate more video resources

Bounty for movies subtittle could be the better solution to reduce the costs that may expensive with the normal way.

Who will pay for subtitles they are freely available everywhere

They said already, that they want to do a system like iTunes where ou have to pay every item you watch (as long as it is not free content of course).

Even if they charge higher there will be more costumer since not everyone own a credit card . But crypto everyone can pay

Im also curious to see the price to use the platform. I think there Is a lot of possibility to be competitive with other streaming platform, it will be interesting to see, if the price is low and we can pay in crypto it could become a big services.

Yeah, affordable price coupled with good content and quality plus good services will make the difference for CRYPTOFLIX over its competitors.

No subscription is a good approach I guess. Hence we will decrease the chance to waste our money if for some reason we don't want to watch the movies.
Yes, that's the point, this will be more efficient. This can be a good point for netflix users to take a look on this platform, the only left thing they need to know is about the price.

Its for 1 area or just 1 device / tv?
