implementing fee is actually good so that not everybody can use. The rich get richer and the poor remain poor because they can't afford miner. Also prevent flooding of hashrate , good idea. Maybe in the future every new algo will need to pay fee. That is a really good idea. But I don't think Christian would want that. Right ? Christian is in for the love , not for greed. I bet relasing x11 would make a lot of people happy , partly because they have a lot of new coins to play with and they can participate in mainstream algo. Performance of algo is one thing , being able to mine the algo is another. I don't mind mining x11 with 1 mh on gtx 750 ti and later get performance boost, at least I can mine that algo and be happy about it.
No it isn't a good idea... you want to pay fee go mine xpm (aka mafia coin). 10% fee for mining where you are told to mine (and nowhere else).

The problem with the fee is not necessarily the fee itself, it is everything else actually:

* no open source code (meaning you cannot check what is really in); that blocks further development since only 1 persons has access to the code (more people means more optimization, new ideas etc...)

* you are limited on what you run, on the pool you run etc..

* defeat the purpose of crypto currency (both the decentralized stuff and the "corrupt banker" part)

Grin ok I am so fed up with this xpm crap (their mafia, their software, their pool, their unfriendly ddos to new pool... meaning all the crap they bring to cryptoworld) that I can't be for fee software...

that's what I am trying to say. Its for love and not for greed.

Thanks for the new ccminer , that works great.

but i have a question about CUDAminer .

i noticed a weird Stratum problem with each pool server i try keccak on

like every maxcoin , helixcoin, 365coin pool  does not show my true speed.

for example my GTX 780 Lightning can do 200 -260 Mhash  with SHA 3 keccak, but the pools always stays under 100Mhash.
and once in a long while ,it might peak a short moment to 170 Mhash.

but i never see my true speed ,which i see in the miner program .

is this normal , do i miss something in my config???
i tried so many days to tweak it better , but i think the problem is only with CUDAminer .
with Solo mining the speed is accurate , its only with stratum pools that i see the issue

I have the same problem

because i tried CGminer too. althought that miner gets lower speeds , it actually shows the right speed on the pool .

so it must be a error in Cudaminer and the way it connects to the stratum server.

well i hope you can do something with the feedback .

thanks for the new releases anyways .
ccminer and Groestl seems to work pretty awesome on my GTX 780 Lightning Smiley

Question , gtx 750 ti , palit stormx oc vs leadtek oc. Which one is better ? Assuming both sell at same price
I have stormx DUAL and I must say its a BEAST!
Scrypt - ~325(305), jane @ 3850(3450), JPC @ 4250(4000) - mild OC(stock)...
Haven't tried non dual palit and Leadtek though.

Can anyone here tell me if the 750 TI will be favorable vs AMD on x11?
I know the miner is not there yet, but by searching around the forums I get the impression that the 750 TI is better vs AMD on non-scrypt-(N/jane/whatever) coins.

current speeds in our development version are 1.8 - 2 MHash/s (killer Groestl, but slow SIMD hash implementation)

is it possible to release a x11 version 1 so that everyone here can participate in mining x11 coin ? There are a lot of new and existing x11 coin (over 20 now). A single x11 algo would bring so much happiness to all nvdia miner

or releasing just the killer groestl miner.. Wink

Come on guys. Christian deserves to mine with his killer-performance for a while before he publishes for us. He's working hard and expects nothing from us. Did you ask yourself how many miners donate to him? It is miners who kill the coin fast. What do you think how long does a profitable coin last when all miners with theirs superior performance miner jump in?
With so many advantages given by Christian for nVidia miners now, we have a lot of coins to choose and still stay profitable. Do research yourself and choose one. Enjoy.

To be honest, I'm feeling greedy myself too hearing about the wild performance of nVidia with X11, but now I'm staying cool. Let's Christian decides when and how to release his killer-performance. I'm even fine with closed source and dev fee. Right now I have so many coins to choose for profit and I wish I could have more than 10 rigs LOL.

Happy mining everyone.  Grin

...already this "slow SIMD" version would make x11 coins quite profitable. you guys rocks!
I'm happy not to jump onto the usual AMD train two months ago and give a bunch of 750ti a try. but they would be worthless without you.

WOW! That's madness (This.. is.. Maxwell!) I feel a lot better having those 750 TI cards now.
Any idea when the public version will be available? Can't wait.

Missed out on the earlier talkcoin giveaway you did, but figured if you were feeling generous again while I am at work I would post the wallet address here Smiley

I know the giveaway is over.... and good night Chris. Thanks for all the great work.

I started mining around Jan, started with AMD around that time, and then fall in love with 750Ti.... I hate the heat and noise of AMD so much now. I had almost all brands of 750Ti (EVGA, MSI, ASUS, PNY...) -- that's typical newbie behavior trying to test all cards. Now I may just stay with EVGA if I have to purchase more. Just can't wait for 880...

It is good concept of Talkcoin but annoying just have to pay to talk... saw your messages there and just want to say hi but has no coins yet.  Just got the wallet finally synced.

Anyone has win binary? Downloaded CUDA 5.5 but haven't had time to setup local dev env yet -- don't want to use company box to do this kinda of compiling, :-).

I guess Chris may want to use this one to distribute his killer Greoestl app... maybe password, etc. :-).

Hey guys, just a quick question/request for assistance.

I own an Alienware with a 780m in it, as well as my desktop with a 750ti. Now before you tell me I shouldn't be mining on an Alienware, the cooling is just fine, so please don't lecture me.
My problem is that I've spent three days optimising/tweaking/overclocking both rigs for mining. The 780m is getting ~260 K/hashes, whilst the 750ti is doing ~320 K/Hashes. I don't understand how this is possible, when the 780m has just shy of 3 times the CUDA cores. Forgive me if this is a nooby question, I haven't been able to find answers anywhere.

I like to think I understand pretty well how the configs work, the letter signifies the kernel/compute version, first number is the number of SMX's, second is max warps per SMX, so i'm pretty sure the launch configs are pretty well optimised, if not as optimised as it can be.

My launch configs and clocks are as follows, any tips or info would be greatly appreciated.

The 780m is set as: Core Clock: 888 Mhz, Memeory Clock: 2500Mhz (5000 Mhz effective)
cudaminer -H 2 -C 1 -d 0 -i 0 -l K8x24 -o pool -O Workernameandpass
pause

The 750 TI is set as: Core Clock: 1411 Mhz, Memory Clock: 3300Mhz (6600 Mhz effective)
cudaminer -i 0 -H 2 -l T5x24 -o pool -O workernameandpass
pause

Edit: i forgot to mention this is for scrypt mining.

Uk isp's have started doing that to prevent torrent downloads... they scan every packet as it comes down and blocks it if it seems suspicious

wow, the great firewall of britain has come truly alive. No cocks&puss for you, no torrents, no miners.

I did some further digging, and it turns out that the initial error message was a bit misleading. The actual problem is that my landlord has put a Sonic Gateway Anti-virus Service between me and the web, thus intercepting files like the wallet/miner. So it isn't that bad with ISPs just yet, but it still does not solve my problem, though. I will just have to wait till I get to the Uni.

Is it free Internet access included with rent?

Have you tried a VPN service?  You might be able to tunnel through his firewall "unless that's blocked too".
You could ask for a static IP pssed through his firewall untouched.  Maybe try telling him he's blocking content that is reported as false positives that you need to download routinely for you job or income which helps pay the rent. Smiley

Never, know, one of the above might work but I'd definitely try a VPN service.

BTW, big brother can be watching as that gateway can log all connection and IP/DNS entries you connect to.
