Prob not..  too close to april 1.    but i wouldn't be mad..

It's not news nor a joke really. It's just someone trying something particularly futile.
ASICs will secure the network. Sucks for GPU miners, but that's just the way a coin matures.
That particular poster couldn't handle that truth, so he's attempting to get people to switch to his Litecoin fork.

Except no exchange nor pool will consider using his fork, so it's just wasted effort on his part.

What I don't get, is why everybody is looking at X11 like it is some sort of new grail or whatever...

Holy grail, no.  But x11 is low power draw, runs cool and cards aren't overly picky about settings for it.   The only drawback to it right now is that it runs 10x better on ati hardware.
so are the algo for Fugue, groestl, heavycoin, quark, qubit, skein ...

Don't think either that asic will secure anything, there are too many scrypt coin, they will just "secure" temporarily the one which looks the most profitable at a certain time, increasing the difficulty to the roof, making them non profitable for gpu then moving to a more profitable coin. (that's exactly the same discussion as with multipool).

Went to dead coin during the week, it was real sad there, Inkcoin. It took forever just to synchronize the wallet. The difficulty was pretty high, and even though I was mostly alone to run on it, it took something like 2 hours to get 2 consecutive blocks and they worth absolutely nothing (was hoping to fill the few remaining buy orders, but it would take eternity to do that...)

Yeh i would aswell. I often which coins and just forget to withdraw what i mined. This way i get it sent to me. Following what your getting reported per 24 hours i should be getting around 130hvc a day, which is over £1 a day in profit after paying electric.

Wish my 780 would stop clocking up but ooo well. I set my screen to turn off after 5 minutes but the 780 stays clocked up and running even with the display off so i have to wake it

Time for me to switch then, thanks
Right now im getting 0.3hvc per block

But what hashrate is that? Right now its showing roughly 40MH/s and its normal below real
In fact zhpool.com was the first to offer the fixed high diff option at port 40001, 1gh provided it later. I rather mine at no-login pools though

Final question i promise. Mining over at hvc.1gh.com
They offer a high difficulty pool for those with multi gpu miners. At 35MH/s is it worth switching to it? Great to hear off anyone over there to see what sort of payout you get per block for your hashrate
See mine http://hvc.1gh.com/user?wallet=HUeM8GR9MP8keYySXm1wZy3qHryPQ5979w

~37.5 Mh/s reported by cgminer-heavy

No i havent tried that. My 780 is driving the display yeh, because its my gaming rig aswell. I wonder if i can get an overclock to take and see if i can force the clocks back down and lower the power again

EDIT
i wasnt able to get an overclock to take to drop the clocks back down. and i am unable to connect the 750Ti's to my monitor because of where they are Sad never mind
even at that, right now i am looking to make atleast 0.0035567BTC a day, so a profit of like £0.43 a day, better then nothing :p

christian is there any chance you can check into what i mentioned about my 780 clocking up and the tdp going up over 20% when i load ccminer for my 750Ti's?
i mean its not a huge issue it just seems strange that it happens, especially when it doubles my systems power usage (750Ti's not included)

its not a demand, more of a wonder :-) if you can fix it i will be sure to send some HVC your way

this is outside of my control, as it seems purely an nVidia driver issue.

is the display driven by the 780? Have you tried connecting it to the 750Ti's to check if the problem goes away then?

Guys, everyone who ever mined FugueCoin and is still holding some coins, please vote for
this coin to be added to this exchange. Voting is free (once per 24h) to members with an

mine right now is 270W for everything, my 780 running for nothing, i do have 4 HDDs running and my pump.

either way im getting 35MH/s for 150W :-)
and thats with a less then 80% efficiency psu so the cards are using less and the psu causing the extra power loss due to bad efficiency

to show how bad the psu is, with that in my main system i had a usage of 87W, with my new 94% efficient psu i have a usage of 60W
so yeh, the psu was causing an extra 27W to be used :-( how bad is that

The message about my 780 clocking up was mainly to christian, i know ccminer was designed to just use the cards in the system because of the -t, then -d was added. but i am wondering if it is still telling my 780 to clock up from the old code?

so your 780TI is around 5MH/s slower, and is that gpu power or total system? Smiley
right now i can watch 1080p movies and use no extra power because of my gpu clocking up
lmao
That was gpu power.
for the rest of the system, I don't know. The cpu is running around 20-30W
(for movies never had any problem either... but I use the integrated graphic card, I guess, even on scrypt there is no problem)
