is anyone mining max right now? how much more profitable than doge or yac with these prices?
I don't think MAX is profitable for us nVidia miners anymore, YAC is pretty good even though it lowered a bit, Doge IDK, I am mining microCoins: I must say the high numbers are addicting  Grin

and now? haha just doubled again mcxnow.com

Anyone notice BTC down to 480 on MtGox?

MtGox crippled the other day so its a lot lower then normal

Gox is no longer relevant so no one cares what they post up unless that person has btc/funds in gox

This really is not true in the slightest... not while they still are currently the top in terms of total volume exchanged. Research...

And 3rd in total volume currently held... Research...

I just hope the BTC price will go up once someone managed to fix that malleable transaction id issue, because I still have those 2BTC from MAX and I want to sell them for €1200 Tongue
My understanding is that the issue is fixed right now. In terms of the intentional double dipping problem.

I've been watching the actual trades on Mt. Gox for a few weeks now. The MAJOR issue is the bots being allowed following the Chinese New Year. They do very large artificial swings in price by forcing the price down with large sell order(40 BTC usually to create enough market depth) at just below the lowest prices they constantly place and remove and replace these orders so that it is the lowest price at all times, no more then 1-2 BTC is ever sold off these stacks making them a small small amount of profit as the price goes down. This drives the price down with very little volume exchanged(relatively...). Then once it is down a bit they start doing massive buy orders on the order of 150-200 BTC, constantly removing and replacing them as the price goes up due to "demand". Netting them BTC at an increasing cost but starting at a lower level... Profit

The problem with this entire process is that fact that it is Low Volume Declines and High Volume gains causing the Market to become BTC rich and an overall volume on the BTC side over the USD side. The only winner here is the bot because he just cashes the BTC out and sells across 2 to 3 exchanges where BTC is still > 600 and profit.

This requires the resources to be able to buy and sell literally thousands of BTC so these guys are commonly referred to as "whales" on the exchanges...

Won't rise as much as on day 1... at some point it was selling at 0.04

Hm if i try to pass a launch configuration with a lower case k kernel cudaminer crashes with the generic error message "Cudaminer stopped working". The upper case works fine, also autotune sets a lower case, but if i do it manually cudaminer crashes. Tested the last 6 releases, doesn't work for me a single time. Any ideas on that?

no idea what's going on there. What is your complete command line when you launch this?

Yacoin autotune still kills my Nvidia driver when I use -i 1:

"The launch timed out and was terminated"  So one particularly inefficient launch configuration ran for more than 5 second and got kiled off by the watchdog timer. hmm.. How can I fix this?

Christian

Don't know how much work it is or if it is even possible, but what about retesting this particular configuration. If it again gets killed, autotune disregards it and shall move on.

Edit: Screenshot for my error is coming later, im at the momen at work.

Is it possible to get from the program the difficulty used by a pool on my worker ?
If yes, where can I find it ?

Thanks.

Oh and nearly forgot it again. A small feature request for autotune.
Could you add a flag that allows me to configure up to a maximum limit the memory shall be utilized for autotune? This would be nice for the interactive 1 people (like me).
Let's say I have 350 MB GPU RAM used, my card has ~2000 MB, then autotune would fill it up until the closest possible to 2000 MB. This means opening other programs would have a slower performance or even crash cudaminer, once it's running with the best speed (which is normally the maximum memory allocation). In this case I would like to save another 150 MB, for normal usage.
What I would like to be able to do, is to tell autotune reserve all possible memory, but leave some 150 MB free, in other words, it shall reserve up to 1850 MB instead up to 2000 MB. Not to forget the already used 350 MB, that means autotune would have 1500 MB to work with.

I hope it's clear what I mean, otherwise I could write it in German Wink

Thanks
