I think FUDcoin took on the Darkcoin name after Dash abandoned it.

Other coins were hit, but denarius is still on peoples radars and has always been a target, so guess which coin hit the news.

What other coins were hit?

I forgot the list, but New York coin was another that I remember off the top of my head. This account I think was listing them, but twitter appears broken for me to find the tweet. https://twitter.com/MisterCh0c

Well it's linked in the news article, but he deleted the tweet, so the image of the list is gone.
This might be the list.

Nice yup that is the list, seems darkcoin-qt is in that list, this is 2019 isnt it? A bit odd for sure

I would assume the worst. First copy the wallet.dat to a USB for safe keeping. Setup coinomi and send your entire balance to that asap. I can tell you I formatted my PC about an hour after word spread about how intrusive this trojan was. Other coins were hit, but denarius is still on peoples radars and has always been a target, so guess which coin hit the news.

Still unclear if a wallet.dat can get infected. But pretty easy to wall the QT wallet off in a VM using Oracle Virtual Box with unactivated Windows 10 ISO.

Either way you can run a VM, disconnect the internet and dump your wallet.dat private keys. And move those coins to a new address NOW.
i think we just need  private key and copy it to notepad (file .txt) and keep safe or write it to paper .

when we need use it , we will import private key and use .

You want to send to new addresses on a clean wallet before saving that private key. Virtual Box VM with Ubuntu 16.04 installed is a great way to do this and I made that script so its super easy to compile the Ubuntu QT from source.

There is an updated chaindata with hashes available on the Github as well as a precompiled Ubuntu1604 denariusd binary with hashes. Buzz also made a nice .sh script for your Ubuntu Denarius QT needs: https://https://github.com/buzzkillb/denarius-qt

https://denarius.host/ is also back online Wink

I downloaded the windows wallet = I'm infected.

action:
1 i bought a new hard disk.
2 i have installed new windows.
3 i have installed the new denarius wallet.
4 i have copied wallet.dat in the new wallet.
and now?
5 i want to recover the entire blockchain.... is possibile or i have to sync my wallet to the beginning?
6 now i want to move my coin to old wallet with a new wallet... is possibile to create a new wallet in the denarius wallet?
Thank you very much for your help.

So you have taken the wallet.dat from the old wallet and now added it to the new wallet? If so then that old wallet.dat could be still be infected from what I understand. You need to send the coins to a fresh new wallet or like Carsen said to Coinomi and then once you have a fresh new wallet send the coins to it.
Only one thing.... is the file wallet.dat infected to the virus?? if is infected when i transfer the old wallet.dat in my new pc the problem is the same...... i need info about this....
The old wallet.dat file is infected or no? we need info about denarius dev......

Yes just remove your wallet.dat and it will create a new one, I would recommend transferring your funds to Coinomi or somewhere else first and then transferring them back to a new wallet.dat/private keys

You can grab the chaindata.zip from the github or from http://d.hashbag.cc/chaindata.zip to sync up quicker

What should I expect with the chart of Denarius?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/denarius-dnr/
Has the long downward trend ended yet?
Wow, I did not paid attention on Denarius before finding your thread which shown me hints on Denarius interesting chart.

https://tradeogre.com/exchange/BTC-DNR was recently added to the list of markets on https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/denarius-dnr/

Denarius is new technology , i keep following with News of Denarius

new exchange will make our community bigger and bigger.  I hope denarius can hit 100 top ,soon.

Growing the community via exchange listings is mostly possible if you get listed on the larger exchanges.

Simply removing binaries isnt enough.

If you have downloaded the windows wallet AT ALL - YOU ARE INFECTED

Change your passwords, reimage your machine. Swap all your 2fa and backup everything. Your infected with malware that is persistent and simply removing binaries are not enough. You need to clean *everything*.

Over 3k+ Machines are infected, and this appears to have been going on for some time. (months for sure, if not years as some of the signatures for this date back to 2015)

So how does one know if their computer/laptop is clean? I have run a few scanners to see and yes they did pick this up and removed it but can my machine still be infected with this malware? Is there anyway people can check to see if this malware is running on their machines?

I think your misunderstanding what I said.
You downloaded the wallet? Your infected. Reimage your PC. End of story. Anything less, assume you are still compromised and anything in the future will get hacked. Your choice, but negligence in a scenario like this will result in a loss of funds.

Would you rather play it safe, or get fucked in the future?

I could give a fuck less what an AV says, even if it says your clean, AV isn't the end all be all. People think AV is some magic creation, its not. More shit slips by the AV than an AV picks up.

Reimage, be safe, or risk getting hacked in the future.
I'd much rather reimage to be safe than get fucked in the future, but hey, thats just me!

Denarius wallet is serving Azorult malware in their windows wallets.

https://twitter.com/MisterCh0c/status/1092713969175928834?s=19

Thank you for letting us know.

I have scanned my Denarius wallet and it seems to be infected even though I downloaded the latest version when it was released. I have since deleted the wallet and moved the coins over to Coinexchange and just waiting on a fix. I'll also check all my other wallets as they could also be infected now and change all the passwords.

Yup, this issue has been since resolved, the bad binaries were removed and my Github account was secured again and a new clean binary was uploaded.

ZDNet did an article on it: https://www.zdnet.com/article/backdoored-cryptocurrency-software-found-serving-azorult-malware/

Ensure you scan your machines and remove ANY old Denarius binary you may have from my Github, it is also recommended to transfer any funds you may have had in previous wallet.dats to new wallet.dats/private keys. The latest v3.3.6 Windows Binary is available again on the Github and is verified clean, please verify the hashes of it below after downloading to ensure you have a non-malicious binary.
