Make sure when you add the conf file that you go into task manager and completely kill it. Then restart it and it should connect.
If not just delete and re-install. If you have 0 coins it won't matter.

nice coin design and good name, however it seems an alt without some useful developments won't get ppl mining it.
Name and design is cool though, will try to collect a few. I see people are paying 0.5ltc per diamond, that's a good profit right there mining this.

When the wallet is encrypted it won't let you mine.

It is something to do with POS/POW if I remember correctly. I think there is some command you do to unlock the wallet. I can't find anything to unlock it.
To unlock wallet
walletpassphrase YOUR PASSWORD 9999999 true
Your wallet will be unlocked for 99999999 seconds or a few hundred days
