i`ve seen that question about xdnwallet paper wallet on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/digitalNote/comments/38xxdx/will_this_wallet_implementation_continue_to_work/

"Will this wallet implementation continue to work with digitalnote?

And if so, could someone perform a security audit on this (entropy concerns, etc.)?

I will tip.
"

The solution is quite ok but not absolutely secure in some terms.

Suggestions:
Instead of using one hash iteration sha or other "simple" hash it is better to:
*10000 times of "simple" hash iterations
*some kind of bcrypt or scrypt. key derivation functions, KDF

Mining at 150 XDN per block, it will take another 177 years just to mine the same number of XDN mined in the first month...

Is it not true of CryptoNote coins, that if one person holds the vast majority of coins, the anonymity is broken?

Both statements are wrong. First, you should notice, that deposit is a source of new generated XDN. Second, you should notice, that max number of XDN is still = 6th perfect number = 8 589 869 056 XDN.

I foresee a question here, ask me and i will answer.

DigitalNote is the most anonymous among all CryptoNote i believe. There is NO dust in XDN blockchain (the only one), because of base_reward structure, XDN have new (as an addition, but based on CryptoNote) state-of-the-art encrypted messaging cryptography, means you can transfer information in an incredibly private way, where even the sender can`t decrypt his message, only recipient can.

Anyone notice the emission curve for this coin?

Is it not true of CryptoNote coins, that if one person holds the vast majority of coins, the anonymity is broken?

Emission curve of XDN is great benefit that made everything about XDN possible.

First of all, you should check the very first months of duckNote mining and exchanging. I mean last summer period.
From the very first blocks, when XDN was loudly announced here and on other cryptocurrency resources very big number of CPU miner switched to XDN (check difficulty charts and old forum discussions).
Very big number of miners started to mine XDN right after announce.

Another story is exchanging. XDN was widely traded last summer and the whole year on a few big exchanges with the big volume of daily trades.

I strongly believe that DigitalNote XDN supply curve is a true example of implementation libertarian free market economy.

Also XDN 6th perfect number and current supply is absolutely ready for mass adoption.

Also XDN constant mining reward = 150 XDN makes mining predictable for business for a long time.

Also we got a major coin distribution with the fair and decentralized mining  and again, it is ready for mass adoption.

Also DigitalNote dev team had an idea of implementation DigitalNote emission curve long before we knew something about CryptoNote, that is why you have seen a classic Bitcoin alike block reward halving.

Also one year is a relatively long period in cryptocurrency scene, why should we wait before being ready for acting and mass adoption.

XDN supply curve is a benefit we are proud for.

Can we get a link to brain wallet generator on http://digitalnote.org/

Don't want it to get lost in transition  Grin

XDN brain and paper wallet - http://xdnwallet.com/

Design is not very good now, we need something beautiful to print it out, like a Digital paper cash notes.
Also deposits can be done with paper and brain wallet too, since deposit is associated with your private key.
So you can make a gift with a deposit on DigitalNote paperwallet.

Will be great to see some beautiful XDN notes designs for http://xdnwallet.com/. Thank you.

can someone post their config for nvidia ccminer?

Thanks

Does your run then driver crash shortly after?

Below is my set up for mining on a 680M. The key input that needs to be added is the -l. Below is listed a few inputs depending on the card. The default when you don't use any inputs is 8x40 but I have noticed issues on my end resulting in a driver crash. As soon as I used the parameter below it was all fine and well. I hope your card is on that list. If not you will have to play with the settings a bit to figure out what is best for you.

ccminer.exe -l 8x32 -o stratum+tcp://address.com -u wallet -p x

GT 750M: -l 8x64 = ~56 H/s
GTX 860M: -l 8x32 = ~200 H/s
GTX 870M: -l 8x63 = ~205 H/s
GTX 780M: -l 7x71 = ~210 H/s
GTX 780M #2: -l 8x72 = ~225 H/s
GTX 880M: -l 8x64 = ~245 H/s
GTX 770: -l 8x72 = ~280 H/s (probably can do better with more tuning)
GTX 780: -l 8x96 = ~380 H/s

we need new pools.
With the new update we also made an additional changes to open-source
cryptonote-universal-pool and updated it to the new version.
You can use it to start your own DigitalNote XDN pool.
Every pool admin will receive a developer donation.

cryptonote-universal-pool forked from fancoder/cryptonote-universal-pool
https://github.com/xdn-project/cryptonote-universal-pool

Lets spread DigitalNote Hashrate.
With the new wallet version XDN p2p network progressively growing up. Thank you users.

In next DigitalNote wallet versions we will add pool miner inside.

XDN mining and XDN operations (transfers, messages, deposits, alias, etc) should stay in one place, so it will be.

1-CPU-1-VOTE

yeah see my previous post ( last post on page 3 )..

mining works perfect for now on ( using minergate.com ) using the miner from there site for my CPU, and the claymore miner for GPU ( also pointed to minergate.com )

But would be great if suprnova.cc ( ocminer ) accepted this coin.

Coin looks great and promising

Minergate is shady as a shade tree. Here are links to open source (except claymore) cryptonight miners:

Non-AES CPU miner:
https://github.com/lucasjones/cpuminer-multi/releases

AES CPU miner:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wolfs-xmrbcndsh-cpuminer-2x-speed-compared-to-lucasjones-new-06202014-632724

AMD GPU miner:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=638915.60

nVidia GPU miner:
https://github.com/tsiv/ccminer-cryptonight/releases

I just read somewhere that claymore miner is more than twice as fast as minergate. I wouldn't know because I'd never use minergate.

I tested that AMD GPU miner,.. the hash rate is faster, butttt almost no accepted shares. I get more shares with minergate, and that results in more coins in 1 hour.

At minergate i use my CPU only, its still not possible for me to use the program for GPU.
I prefer more shares/coins then a higher hash Tongue

I would test a different pool than minergate with the Claymore miner. There are several others listed in the first post of this thread. Minergate uses closed source pool software, so maybe it doesn't play nicely with Claymore miner...

i didnt test the claymore miner on minergate, but on a other pool what i found on the op.

Edit: i use the minergate own build gui miner as cpu miner, point to minergate. And i point my claymore miner to minergate now.. mining works perfect Cheesy

in theory GPU miners should act better in some kind of multipool mode.

Yes indeed, however the only thing i need / want is a normall / good working miner. I don't care if its gpu or cpu, it should work good.

What miner do you advise? can you show a link?

may be some problem with "dd" DigitalNote address structure. Every valid DigitalNote address starts with "dd".
soon we will build miner from an old wallet to the new wallet, so you will be able to mine just with the wallet on any pool, being a full network node.
As for now i know that https://minergate.com/ is the most user friendly for XDN mining, but i do not know if they have an open source miner.

P.S. After next week update celebration and update events i will put all XDN miners in one place, if someone will do it faster, much appreciate.

mining at that minergate now, working and looking good! thanks!

anyway i can only use my cpu there? when try to use GPU i can not start/click it; not available?
