I think now you should not be so worried about this issue.
Today anonymity is just a way to create additional noise around the coin and a desire to pump up price.
But as it was already noticed for a long time, after any strong pump there is a strong dump

As I said, making transactions using anonymous protocol is just a way that you can offer the user as an alternative for a transaction.
In addition, DMD is a coin for the future of legal business and anonymous transactions in it are needed only in order to hide Private capital from prying eyes.
It is unlikely that most Investors will be happy if a black market is deployed around the DMD...

Therefore, anonymity should not be the main way to send your coins.
People should have a choice of how to make a deal.
Not all users agree to make anonymous transactions all the time and pay a higher commision for this.
But I believe that people should have a choice and if the technology of making anonymous transactions will be checked by time, then only you can talk about some kind of integration.
If you take a closer look at the existing technologies for this coins (Monero and Dash) then you will see that their method is not 100%.
A much higher level of anonymity is provided by Zcash.
But not so long ago, they had found one unpleasant bug for which they were forced to make a fork (this is how the Zclassic coin originated).
Therefore, in this matter, it is not worth hurrying.

what rules they have to let people deposit/withdraw and trade it is not a topic we have any influence about

the only meaning of my former statement was that DMD will not include any additional on-chain/in wallet mixing and transparency hiding features without know sure that its secure and legal
(keep in mind we not some anonymous people with just a forum nickname we are real persons not hidden not protected from arm of justice)

if crypto will start to get included in real business processes and accepted by laws
then not be able follow a transaction could be no-go and block access for ur coin towards being included in legal crypto business

allow to follow the flow of each single created bitcoin from the time it was created towards each step of his journey wheere all the pieces are now spread of many many addresses

how does this look at this coins with added anonymity? how can u be sure how can u track each single coin to the moment it was created by POW or POS or whatever mechanism that coin uses?

Now (in the current code), there is no plan to integrate additional ways of anonymity, as in the case of Zcash or Dash.
These technologies are still quite young and imperfect.

The new code 3.0 will not be any restrictions for that would add anonymity as a way of committing transactions.
