No specific date can be given for 3.0 but 6 months time from now should be enough to deliver it.
Principles of coin rollout plan wouldn't change and once we hit 2.5 million we move into a downward curve PoS reduction (that's the only significant change here) which will make the coin rollout feel more natural rather than have a sharp drop. When we reach 2.5 million is up to how much people stake as the trigger is not set to any particular block number/date but sure 2018 is the year.

Strong rhetoric coming from the US president Trump suggest that if he implements his ideas in the next 6 months this could cause significantly devaluation of Yuan. At the same time the Chinese have all means to counteract capital flight .. so let's see where it all takes us.
