Could you elaborate regarding the pool problem? I'm just informing about the situation.

the groestl implementaion in diamond isnt 100% identical to other groestl implementations example groestlcoin
solo mining is combatible but at pool mining it behave different

pool and wallet need adaptions (we working on this and will hand out the updatet wallet together with a howto setup a diamond pool)

meanwhile we will set up a temporary pool together with a helpful pool admin from community which use alternative pool software (non stratum)

i can understand people who rare check the thread dont have the time to read trought thread

but basical we explained all of this already

low communicatinglevel  is sure not something that would fit to diamond staff activity on btt

we try to keep community informed about everything thats going on

the "dev" that seems to post all the time cant even be bothered to structure his sentences properly and uses grade 3 spelling for words that are pretty easy.  If he is posting from a phone all the time I can understand that but why the fuck are you posting from a phone ? If you were working on the "problems and going over each line of code" Id expect you to be posting from the pc you are working on.

yes im non native speaker
no im not the code dev
im CVO of diamond foundation and did design the coin mechanics and specs
diamond isnt a one man show we are a few dedicated people and share work
maintain the btt thread is our job

if my bad struktured sentenses leave an questions unanswered please be forgiving
with me and ask again i try to find proper words

I'm sorry, could you elaborate? So we have
1) A stuck blockchain -> resolved
2) A wallet problem -> resolved
3) Cryptsy, the only exchange right now, who didn't update their wallet -> Huh
4) It's not possible to mine in pool, but just in solo mining -> Huh

Am I right? So we have the problem 3) and 4) to be solved?

3.) https://sharexcoin.com/market/DMD_BTC is working alternative exchange we still work on all levels to get cryptsy fix their exchange too
4.) a temporary pool who allow pool mining until next wallet release is in work
There is another exchange with practically no volume, the REAL problem won't be fixed until cryptsy doesn't fix their issue.

Could you elaborate regarding the pool problem? I'm just informing about the situation.

Hi! Could someone here explain to me what is the problem? A couple of days ago there was written that cryptsy didn't update their wallet, but it seems that the situations has evolved (and so the price, which crashed from 110k to 80k). Is the problem related to the wallet, to the mining, or to what else?

The current price drop is a result of combination of things. First stuck blockchain (sorted). Then wallet with database issues (sorted). Very slow Cryptsy. No mining pools for the time being. All of that is reflected in the current price.

However, once we sort out the issues we'll surely see an upward trend again.

Ive been following this thread past my initial postings, still nothing else is working bar solo mining. This is pretty bad for the longevity of the coin.

First a couple of observations, HR is pretty much spot on, the level of communication is poor, the "dev" that seems to post all the time cant even be bothered to structure his sentences properly and uses grade 3 spelling for words that are pretty easy.  If he is posting from a phone all the time I can understand that but why the fuck are you posting from a phone ? If you were working on the "problems and going over each line of code" Id expect you to be posting from the pc you are working on.

Secondly, what broke from the crypsty wallet ? I bought and sold diamonds there like 2-3 days ago and was able to send and receive to my wallet fine.  If you read my first post in here suggesting a relaunch, If you asked me this question today I would still say the same.

There was no reason to change from scrypt to the new algo.  It benefited those who know the moment the coin went live. Fair launches must include everyone.

Ive lost faith and trust that they are competent in doing anything correctly with their "cant be bothered to post properly attitude" and half fixes is anything to go by.  You earn more respect by taking the time to communicate and constantly finding an excuse for everyone's opinion (because they are only opinions as we don't know) will cause more problems.

Also, it seems pretty common to blame exchanges for wallet issues lately. Ironic that Asia Coin are using the same excuse, whitecoin, XBC are even using this excuse - I wonder how many wallets crypsty is actually working on right now.  Crypsty wont solve your issue as why pools wont work, I don't even hold much confidence you know how to solve it yourselves or even want too. Not yet anyway, not when it wont benefit you having a lot of competition for these rare diamonds.  Is english not your first language ?

Chucking the 2000 I have in cold storage and being done with this coin for now.  This was a good coin with a lot of potential but the issue in the crypto world now is an over reliance on how many coins there are over all, and at 1 million this brings on massive greed in people and what you are seeing happen with this coin.

Good luck everyone else.

can happen when a re-org happens

A re-org means your block didn't get accepted because another block was generated right about the same time as yours and it won. So your wallet had to remove that block and try again.

details u can find in logfile should look like this:

01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE
01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE: Disconnect 1 blocks; 00000001a342e1cf7975..0000000145ca5372ad0c
01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE: Connect 1 blocks; 00000001a342e1cf7975..0000000090681a6cf473
01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE: done

Thanks. I knew this could happen just couldn't see it in logs. Now I can. I got 3 blocks rejected similarly.

Found 2 blocks in less than 2 hours. 2 transactions appeared on my wallet. However 1 disappeared nearly instantly after it showed up in the wallet. I understand the block needs to be accepted in the block chain but here the transaction doesn't even appear as "not accepted".

What's up with that?

Not at all. It's my honest opinion.

It's FAILSAFE for Diamond. Do or die. I'm not the only one who has said it either. Go back and read recent posts and count 'em!

Everyone, including you is entitled to their opinion. As you said, do or die. Correct.

Now, could you please share with us what YOU are doing to make DMD do and not die?

Since your's appears to be working & getting accepted shares, are there any other miners out there to point some hashing at the pool to test with more hash power?

Please point it at the pool if you have spare working groestl miners as I'd like to see what the results are with more miners.

Let me share  my experience with you.

Don't experiment on the real DMD network, join the test net! I wasted days and many people's hash power on the real network but the difficulty is high enough to wait and wait... On the test net difficulty is 0.00001526 Smiley

HR with all the respect, I'm not really sure of what you're expecting form us. The situation has been explained many times over, we are actively working on finding solutions. I don't think there's anything more to debate here really. We all understand seriousness of the situation and your posts are plainly patronising. You expressed your opinions well enough and loudly enough, so no need to repeat it over and over again.
I don't even want to go into responding point by point to what you've produced as my time can be better spent on developing solutions rather then meaninglessly talking in circles.

HR just chill a bit. Smiley

But relax, it's only MY opinion, and those other opinions expressed which are also ONLY opinions, all subjective interpretations of the facts.

I wouldn't let my opinion bother you. Only your own opinion based on your own interpretation of the facts should bother you (or reassure you), but when your opinion is becoming a minority opinion, that should be a red flag for you to re-evaluate.

Just my opinion that you guys are at the tipping point and that I think you are in denial about it, and that's a very dangerous combination.

Add: Believe me you, I hope I'm wrong and that Monday morning (or sometime next week) I wake up to find out that DMD is up on Cryptsy, that several mining pools are active, and that everything is hunky dory, but I have nothing real to base that hope on at the moment other than hoping against hope - and that's why effective damage control is so urgently necessary at this time.
