Hello DSTM! Thank you for your work and new versions! Keep it going! We believe in you!!!

Hello guys (again)!
Want to remind to all of you, that if somebody has any problems with stability of EWBF, DSTM, CLAYMORE miners or needs some extra control over your rigs please read carefully my message below.

I want to introduce to you a script, which can solve most of your problems. It is a result of half a year hard work with my beta testers. Now it is clean of any bugs and ready to be introduced for the wide mining community.

1) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cmd-farmwatchbot-ewbf-claymore-bminer-dstm-cc-eth-castxmr-phoenix-2071108
2) https://forum.z.cash/t/cmd-equihash-miner-autorun-autorestart-watchdog-for-ewbf-claymore-dstm/20640

It will definetely reduce your valuable time spent near your rigs, because this script will do all the work for you. Just start it and forget about your rigs, relax or do anything else. In case of any problem this script will restart your miner, or the rig, if necessary. It will notify you by Telegramm message about all problems and corrective actions taken. It is open source code (CMD/BAT, not an .exe or something like this), so anyone can check throug the code if needed.
Enjoy your life, let the script to monitor your rigs for you.

I love your Autostart program. Its the best one Ive seen (used it on ebwf and will now use it with dstm).
Thank you for keeping it free. And especially love how quickly you update your software to match the miner updates.

Keep it up!!

You do realise you have to pay 2% for this miner, when EWBF is free is you have the no fee option, you dont lose any speed either.

EWBF is not free it has a adjustable fee but you can mine with it free by turning off the fee and lose some hash . i don't mind the fee if the  DEV doesn't act greedy .. an i won't jump your ass for complaining either because saying some thing gets thing done being silent doesn't.

It might be faster than EWBF -  I am still testing - but the problem I see is rejected shares due to "Invalid solution".

I run my own pool for Zen at www.digitaldigs.ca and I am testing with the DSTM miner.  When I use the same rig with EWBF I get 100% efficiency (all shares accepted as valid).  When I use DSTM, I get a whole bunch of Invalid Solution on the pool side (I am running Z-Nomp).

This actually makes it slower than EWBF by quite a bit. Maybe if this was solved, then this would be a good miner.  Right now, I can't recommend it.

My GTX 1060 with same settings on EWBF was around 300 Sols,  with dstm has ~330 at 85% +155 core and +700 mem.
GTX 1080 Ti was  730-750 on EWBF but here is more 740-750+. So i think that 2% is ok and this miner will be updated so i expect better performance etc.

EWBF is slower for me by about 7% (2680sols/s vs 2860sols/s), i get a good +5% with this miner if i substract the fee, but it doesn't seems to be the same for everyone, depending which card your run and your powerlevels. Most people report more than 2% increased hashrate than with EWBF, so all good. The fee also support future development, EWBF being dead for months. Not a bad deal i think.

I think a lot is the CPU you are running, i have got ryzens so maybe that is why i get the better speed on it?

The cpu shouldn't come in play, especially with dtsm being so light as cpu load goes, more like for cards lower than 1070 (1050 to 1070) this miner is pretty well optimised, alot of people comparing speed are with 1080/1080Ti that aren't as well optimised hence the close hashrate with EWBF. But as soon as he optimise it, EWBF will probably be on the losing side. We'll see, healthy competition good for everyone  Cool

where can i view total accepted?

On the recap line

Code:
2017-11-27 21.19.10|   ========== Sol/s: 1073.4 Sol/W: 3.25  Avg: 1083.5 I/s: 574.4  Sh: 3.65   1.00 75

sh:3.65 (share accepted) 1.0 (rejected)

i'm not 100% sure because the number doesn't seems to always increase, there must be some computation not shown in the log somewhere. Better see with the webinterface or the Json API

Questions:
- Why GPU0 has PCI 1.0?

It's in fact the hardware ID of your PCI slot they're numbered like this. slot 1 is 1:0, slot 2 is 2:0, you probably jumped one slot to make the card fit on the motherboard.

And what that "1"at end mean?

The "failed" share amount,  when you submit a share to the pool sometimes it fail because of computation error or delay.

Bios mod for 1070 ?
Also PCI 1.0 mean pci 1x it's usual to get that when you use a riser, do you have the other gpu connected to a riser or directly on the mobo ?
So far I have:
- MoBO Asus Z270P, BIOS 8010;
- x2 GeForce 1070, driver 384;
- Gen2 is set everywhere;
- Audio, SATA disabled;
- Primary display: PCIE, M.2: PCIE

Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1b81 (rev a1)
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1b81 (rev a1)

I am using Dynamode PCI-E x1 to 16x, 60 cм USB 3.0 Cable SATA to 6Pin Power ver.006C - each of 2 GPUs are connected directly to the MOBO. I am about to add 2 more 1070, and then 2 more.

So far getting 440-450 Sol/W on each GPU, 60-65C - stock.

If you have access to gen1 it's even better, will save up a few watts (maybe 5-8w)  Cool

Wow didn't know that GEN1 actually causes lower power usage. Thanks a lot!

I have solved my stability problem. Miner (PC) would often freeze and stop responding. Sometimes after 3h, but never more than 24h of run time.
And the solution is:

  • Update motherboard BIOS and configure it like this:
  • DMI Max Link Speed => Gen2
  • PCIEX16 slot's Link Speed => Gen2
  • M.2 slot's Configuration => PCIE mode (if you have M.2 slot risers)
  • Above 4G Decoding => Enable (if using more than 4 GPU's)

It is very important to set PCIE and M.2 speed to Gen2. Don't live it to Auto!

Using 8 EVGA 1070 and getting 3302 sol/s @ 900W of power usage (about 420 sol/s per GPU)
Power limit 50%
Core Clock +150MHz (1657MHz)
Mem Clock +0 (3802MHz)

Best luck to all Smiley

Is there a way to restart the miner if it hangs or crashes? Just trying to see what to enter into the .bat file.

Thanks!

Look a few pages before alot of people posted the needed steps to get a restarting bat file.
