not only eBTC if i remember it correct Ethereum Cash is one of the most famous airdrop last month,
but in the end what will happen with their project ?
they ran away with their money,
so what do you think that will happen with this project ? it's not about the most famous or not,but the development that will they show to us.

I was one of the first investors in eCash. No comparison. eCash was terribly mismanaged by some guy who seemed like he was working from his mom's basement. I was naive for investing especially after the original website that came out looked so bad, it actually had spelling mistakes. Then the developer promised something at 12am and tweeted "get ready." That was the last anyone heard of him. Hopefully he died a horrible gruesome death along with his whole family.
Airdrop doesn't mean scam. Byteball and Stellar are very successful and they did airdrops.
Whatever happens with eBTC, it will transition to be a community project. It simply has too much interest under the bitcoin brand and theoretically the idea is too good for people to let it die even if the dev decides to bounce. On a technical level, this coin is simply better than Bitcoin.
i'm pretty sure that so many airdropper keep it hodling, me included 
and if you check transactions, you will see so many 2497 new tokens delivered, means all airdrop products
