release with full windows exe, full guide to mining and ensure everyone has a fair chance. Better to have a perfect launch rather than a rush job.

This.

Even if some people hoard a lot of coins at the beginning, the coins will be legitimate and make you rich OP.

+1  Looks good so far though.  Best alt we've seen in a  while.

Hey Milkshake,

Just compiled the qt client, except for the Obvious genesis block missing it works.. Let me know if u need help compiling the definitive client. I had to make some minor changes to net.cpp and elacoin-qt.pro.

It's also easy to check the time on the OP and add 24 hours.

You'd really be better off marking a set time in GMT when the release is happening rather than a 24-hour window of F5 the page. Especially if the code is completed and you're just waiting.

And what is the forum time? Because my forum time it's not your forum time.

Look at the time stamp of the first post, and add 24 hrs...Not exactly rocket science

Look ARROUND!
Honestly if you can't even figure out how to compile a windows client, you have no reason to be releasing a coin.

Right! And this why? Is better to know how to just compile the source from litecoin in windows and name it royalcoin and just release that crap, than know how to code a new coin in Linux?

You can go ahead and add my pool link into your site. As long as its scrypt I will be adding it to http://eac.hackshardgaming.net upon release. add me on skype: deviant-fragcorner and let me know the MOMENT it is released and I'll have the pool up within 10 minutes.

I will be trying to connect to your pool tomorrow morning 10 minutes before with 2.2MH/s - Can you provide us with some figures to assure us there won't be any massive DDoS or network outage, and how quickly after this coin is released will you be accepting connections? Payout after how many confirms etc? A coin with this much hype is going to have a lot of people mining on your pool, we need reassurance it's going to be in our best interests.

I think, it's easy use GMT a.k.a Coordinated Universal Time

What is the starting difficulty you finally chose for this? Atleast 10, please?

Will you have some nodes for people to connect to?

I really hope you listen to MarkM since he brought up the most worrying drawback you can have during launch. If you do this launch properly we might finally see a new succesfull coin. Nearly all the other coins recently released were doomed from the start because of the 0 difficulty and/or huge early adopter bonus blocks.

First X amount of blocks should be pretty worthless so people can get their things started and the difficulty has time to adjust for the initial hashpower flood. There are also people working in different timezones around the world so having around 12h of somewhat worthless mining in the start would put more people on the same line.

If the launch feels good for most of the people here you will have so much better chance in creating something that will survive.

And there will be a compiled windows launcher link?HuhHuhHuhHuh?
I'm working on a Windows binary ready for launch. If anyone would like to help out with the tricky compiling part, please send me a PM.

This should help - https://github.com/CryptoManiac/novacoin/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst#windows

And what is the forum time? Because my forum time it's not your forum time.

It should be. It is not my local time, and it is embedded in the HTML code.

How do I build bitcoin-qt for Windows on Ubuntu? Is there a step by step guide?

I've installed mingw32, https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst includes no instructions for Windows.

These things need to be learned before launching, not after. People will wonder how much thought was actually put in this.

You do realize not everyone is an expert at everything, and compiling for Windows is a tricky task for a large project with significant amount of dependencies, right?
