Hey guys,

I had the same problem and the manual didnt help me. I noticed, that there is an old wallet version (8.7.0) on the first page of this ANN....and on their website it is 8.7.2....
When i used the wallet from their website instead, it worked and i was on the right chain again.

So my advice is to take the wallet from their website and do the bootstrap thingy to solve this issue

This worked for me as well. Upgraded from 8.7.0. to 8.7.2 on Mac from website wallet page https://espers.io/#download

Then downloaded latest snapshot https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=12Gq9BcC1B-60V0VUOP6O_CqMhZuoyvJh

And followed instructions here https://blog.espers.io/using-the-snapshot-d8eb6d1cb3f6

Added nodes from here https://espers.io/download/nodes/node-list.txt

Launched updated wallet and it synced almost immediately and am now on block 729147 with 9 connections.

This coins rock !
Has a legit team and clear roadmap.
Looks like $1 in 2018 will be easy for this coin.

I hope you are right. I only have about 1.623 million of them.

Well it looks like the explorer and I were both on the wrong chain AGAIN! This is three times after redoing from snapshot I wound up on the wrong chain. The dev has posted a new shapshot that starts at block height 729118. I redid the snapshot and I am now on block 729132. I really hope this is the last time I need to help my wallet get back on the correct chain. Hopefully some can get the people at miningalts.com to get their explorer back on the correct chain. There must be thousands of people out there on the wrong chain sending and receiving coins that will go poof when they get back on the correct chain.
+1 I'm on block 728179

Sorry to tell you that you are on the wrong chain. Download the new snapshot that ends at block 729118 and get your wallet back on track.

New snapshot: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=12Gq9BcC1B-60V0VUOP6O_CqMhZuoyvJh

At this moment I am on block 729136 and in crypto the longest chain wins.

Can you please post the node list you use for this chain?

Lmao what a mess again. Everyone is on different chains again, once again everything has been fucked. The richlist on the blockexplorer says that the top 25 hold 122% of the total coins, everything is just fucked.

Hello,

Could somebody send me the old wallet (pre soft fork) installer and the file to sync it on the old chain, please?
I’m trying to recover my espers.

Thanks

Follow the instructions here and you should be good to go!

https://blog.espers.io/using-the-snapshot-d8eb6d1cb3f6

can anyone confirm what the right chain hight is:

followed above instructions: 3 comps now on block 729102
however http://espv2.miningalts.com/ is on block 728124

I am currently on 728126. I believe this is the correct chain.

thx for answer, but how to know for sure?
you appear to be on the same chain as http://espv2.miningalts.com, but following above instructions gets me (on 3 different computers) on another block hight

Did you edit the espers.conf file and remove all the addnodes and only add the one he said to add? I wish the devs would pop in and let everyone know what the correct block height should be.

yes, did .conf file edit. addnodes from https://espers.io/download/nodes/node-list.txt

edit: however there seems to be another addnode list: https://stats.espers.io/download/addnodes.txt
