This is absolute crazy and insane growth! This coin is exploding in users!  At this rate it could maybe be in the top 20 or so in no time??

Coderz of the Crypto variety
Hey guys!

Sorry for being so slow with the updates that we promised today, we are just finishing everything up,

In the meantime here is another official node:   addnode 107.170.212.222:22447 add      (or)   addnode=107.170.212.222:22447   (the later for the config file, the first for the console)

We are still releasing, just behind schedule a tad. Thank you all for sticking with us. We are just keeping up with the hype everyone has associated with this! Thank you guys for such an opportunity to develop this project with you all!

Node wise we almost can't keep up with this things growth Wink which, isn't a bad thing, just means we will launch more nodes

Also a thought on what the Dev said about "Features needing coins to be used", it could be any amount of coins, with such a high coin cap I wouldn't see why not.

May I know what cpu u have ? My i5 2410m couldn't find shit for the whole night !!

i7-4700HQ 2.4GHz Haswell

It's a Republic of Gamers laptop I bought a few years ago.  It's running pretty hot but I have it on a Cooler Master and it's staying about 85C.  That's hot but the CPU is rated up to 100C.  I just bought a new one so this one is a spare.  These laptops are more powerful than most desktops and have 17" screens.  Definitely worth the money if you're a road warrior like me and need to travel with a decent computer.  Haven't found a block on it for quite some time now.  Although I went for hours without any blocks and then found four in the course of 45 minutes.  Just gotta keep mining.  All my other comps are busy with other coins.

And here is the miner:

https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-hmq1725

Use with:

./cpuminer -a quark -o stratum+tcp://esp.suprnova.cc:3451 -u suprnova.1 -p x

You can also solo-mine to your wallet.

And I want to be honest: The probability there is already a GPU miner is pretty high, I've checked the algos and there are already modules for Nvidia/AMD for them, so somebody just has to "rework" the quark algo in ccminer/sgminer, chain the correct modules and "voilla"...

Ya think?

New algo normally = private miner

These assumptions are nausiating. We created a custom algorithm to level the playing field. And yes we are TOTALY raping the chain with 50k per block. C'Mon peoplle get real here.

I wasn't trying to cause you any nausea.  It's just that there have been many coins claiming to be cpu only that had a private gpu miner at launch or shortly after.  After observing the hashrate for awhile I am satisfied that there is not a gpu miner for this coin at this time.

I signed up for the giveaway and am mining using a spare desktop.  I'm finding blocks here and there.  I think you should think about reducing the number of the coins for the giveaway to 10% and burn the other 10%.  That would remove 50.25 billion coins and make the 5 billion used for the development fund about 50% of the giveaway.  That benefits the development team as their holdings are not as diluted.  Also, giveaways are very hard to verify and there are always those using multiple accounts to game the system.  You also risk losing miners once all those coins are released for the giveaway.  And I am a firm believer that miners are the backbone of any successful cryptocurrency.

I have a Intel Core i5 3570S @ 3.10GHz-Ivy Bridge mining this solo from the wallet getting 42Kh/s.

I get around 2 blocks every hour or so... 3.25Million ESP here so far since launch Cheesy

I have ran a few wallets before and added some nodes in a config.

Tried all posted a few pages ago and in op and still no connection on Window 7 64 bit.
I would recommended not putting the add nodes in the config. put them in the help/Debug window one by one. might be tedious but i know for a fact that works and has very little chance to fail. please keep me notified.

No way am I or would I manually add all the addnodes. Too much work for what it is worth.

I did do as @cyberpitstop suggested by removing the config file. have no need for it really since I am not solo mining from rigs to rigs.

So I removed it and added the 3 addnodes from the OP and left the wallet alone. about 30 minutes later it connected and synced. Found 3 blocks so far so I'll see how it goes in the morning.

All good now as long as the wallet stays connected and if not I'll just go back to the other cpu only coin I was mining.

The Concierge of Crypto
I have 35 connections. Mined a few blocks already. Win 10 Pro 64-bit. (You could upgrade your Win 7 to 10 for free.)

I am out, I went through and added all the nodes listed one by one in the console. And all I managed to get was one connection.
Thx to all those that tried to help. But I believe it's a win7 64 bit issue or maybe I am stupid which is very possible.

I am using win 64 bit and currently I am connected to 3 nodes, sometimes 1 only, I doubt its an issue on windows.

For anyone having connection issues, try opening port 22447 on your router/firewall.

So should we just delete the conf file all together and add them all through debug?
Cause I am starting to think this is a Win7 64bit bug.
My son running windows 8 he has zero problems, I cant get any connections at all.

I have saw the same problem in windows 7 64bit

I know one wallet for windows was a 32 bit version but not sure on the other.
I could not use the one from mega nz I had to use the 32 binary one. The other kept throwing C++ errors
