The Magic of ETC is that there is no leader, there is no one in charge. There's just lots of really passionate amazing people, much like Bitcoin.

You cant point to a person who's deciding where the platform is going to go, it's not possible.

Ironic, no significant developments on ETC in the last 2 years.. good luck
Ok thank you very much, don't worry about it ETC is run by the community of ethereum whom believe the code is law, decentralize, immutable and unstopable.

Yet and nothing has been done, and yes, Mantis is nothing, its just a client lmao

Hi guys, my pools include an extra rewards for who found the block, this reward is "Finder Reward"

The scheme is:

Block Reward = BR
Pool_Fee = 1% x BR
Pool Reward = (BR - Pool_Fee) x (1 - Finder_Reward)
Finder Reward = ((BR - Pool_Fee) x Finder_Reward
Miner Reward = Pool Reward x Round Percentage

For example if Finder Reward = 20% , Pool Fee = 1% , Block Reward = 4, and miner has 3.5% of the round

Pool fee = 4 x 1% = 0.04
Miner_not_finder = (4 - 0.04) x (100% - 20%) x 3.5% =  0.11088
Miner_who_found_the_block =  (4 - 0.04) x (100% - 20%) x 3.5%  + (4 - 0.04) x 20%=  0.90288

please check this on:

https://etc.crazypool.org

System Reward = PPLNS
Finder Reward = 20%
Pool Fee = 1%

Block Reward = 4 ETC + TX (transaction fee) + uncle inclusion reward = Complete Block Reward
Uncle Reward = 0.125 ETC

Happy Mining !!!

🚀🚀 ATHERO.IO 🚀🚀
There are nearly 10% of ETH miners, stupid ones, mined on the wrong chain with Constantinople upgrade.
They have not paid attention on the warning of ETH team that the upgrade delayed and kept mining on the wrong chain of ETH network.

SO, they're losing money basically (electricity) if that's true, are you sure? Because ETH's devs didn't release the code...btw this is the Ethereum CLASSIC thread Smiley

any news concerning the 51% attack ?

The attacker is giving ETC back on Gate.io and another exchange which I don't recall. At the end it ended well at least since the attacker wasn't malicious

thank you so much.

if ETH will not gain up to a minimum of 50% raise in value, lot of miners could join ETC mining community
I'm fingercrossed to that scenario  Cool Wink
It's a closely realistic scenario, because the mining rewards for ETH miners dropped dramatically recent months, and will keep dropping deeper.
Then, it is clear that more and more ETH miners have switched their rigs to mine other coins, including ETC, and they might continue switching their rigs to ETC.
However, I have a doubt that will the scenario become a good one for ETC, both ETC's network and price?
More miners, total hashrates will rise, then difficulty will rocket, but how about the price of ETC?

These are some great news guys

https://medium.com/etclabscore/introducing-etc-labs-core-an-etc-core-development-team-c46413c1ab50

A new team working on ETC is a really good thing, especially when ETCDEV left the boat, can't wait to see some real progress again

...and some bad news (again):

BREAKING: Sudden Fee Spike on Ethereum Classic Raises Fears of More Exchange Attacks

https://www.coindesk.com/sudden-fee-spike-on-ethereum-classic-raises-fears-of-more-exchange-attacks

Quote
Over the last 24 hours, average transaction fees on the blockchain rose to $6.10, up nearly 800 percent from $0.71 the day prior, the largest spike in transaction costs in the history of the blockchain according to data source BitInfoCharts.

Yeah I read that, was discovered by phyro if I recall correctly, because 2miners' hashrate went up suddendly by a lot...

The creation of ETCLabs Core really is great news and you can see that it's getting some attention

https://cryptobriefing.com/etc-labs-core-ethereum-classic/

The ETC Labs incubator also had their first 11 projects begin yesterday - you can read more about that here

https://medium.com/@etclabsnews/introducing-the-first-cohort-at-etc-labs-47ef2c34d354

Make sure to follow @etclabs and @etclabscore on twitter to stay in the loop. I'll try to keep updating here as new things develop

Exciting times for Team Green

Yes, really very good to know because ETC is securing prominent in the market but with the recent attack many people afraid about their holding but even the price of the coin has not decreased its the price. With the news again the price of the coin will start increasing again in the market.

Ethereum Classic 51% Attackers Return $100,000 to Crypto Exchange Gate.io

I see those news as positive/good news for Ethereum Classic

Very interesting development. It seems like the attacker only wanted people to be aware of possible 51% hash power consequences.

Quote from: Gate
We still don't know the reason. If the attacker didn't run it for profit, he might be a white hacker who wanted to remind people the risks in blockchain consensus and hashing power security
