Mining rewards will be 10x what they are today?

"Ether mining will be at 100% rather than 10% of the usual reward rate"
"Ether mining will be at 100% rather than 10% of the usual reward rate" - interesting , whose it is words or that concept?

When will be like that?

Release Step Two: Homestead

Homestead is where we move after Frontier. We expect the following three major changes.

Ether mining will be at 100% rather than 10% of the usual reward rate

Homestead is the next major version of Ethereum. The first one was Frontier. You could see it as Ethereum 2.0, if you want Wink
when the release of homestead?

What is Homestead?

This would make it very exciting but as I can see (I could be wrong) Ethereum is really slow in development. Don't take it wrong guys, but it is still today and there hasn't been even a stable release of the GUI wallet. There is one already, but it is in beta/testing stage (as far as I know) When they would finally release a stable GUI wallet, it would be the day it would gain more traction, as non tech savvy users would find it easier to use send and receive Ether, without the need to know specific commands. But still, I am very optimistic with Ethereum. I think that next year would be a very bright one for it. After everything else is settled, an Android/iOS Ether wallet would be an excellent idea.

In the meantime, it is best to buy Ethers at these prices as it might go up once we reach Homestead. Just my opinion.  Cheesy

WHat is the potential value in Ethereum?  What price could it get to in the next 12 months?  I know they are releasing Homestead soon, what about a windows or android wallet?  I've been dying for an android wallet.

Maybe in a month.
I hope it will be up to the following year Smiley

Now this is great news. If we can get to Homestead, maybe this will make the price increase (I dunno) as it will get more attention and excitement of the new release. Anyways, it is an interesting world out there for Ethereum, and perhaps we will get to see better stuff in next year. Only time will tell.  Cheesy

I don't think the price is that bad for Ethereum's current status.  I expect it to increase significantly but I also think BTC will sky this year, so who knows.

Genesis Mining adds mining Etherium

December 18, 2015

The cloud mining company Genesis Mining expands the list of transactions, launching cloud contracts with Ether (ETH). Now clients will be able to get "Ether" (Ether) - tokens network Ether.

Marco Strands, CEO of Genesis Mining:

"We have listened to requests from our customers. Due to the wide range of mining operations on the GPU, we were able to divert a significant portion of farms for mining "ether". We believe in Ethereum and want to give their customers the chance to capitalize on this interesting innovation, and simultaneously support the network".

At Genesis Mining already has a farm of GPU miners, X11 mining offering (flagship cryptocurrency - DASH). However, since a large number of users interested in Ethereum, the company decided to repurpose the resource in the mining of aether. This step will not affect farm mining Bitcoins.

"The increase in the number of miners in the network helps to increase its security. Great to see that companies like Genesis, show interest in Psych support," says Vitaly Buterin.
Short term contracts

Currently work is under way to transition from Ethereum model "proof of work" (proof of work) to the model of "proof of stake" (proof of stake). For this reason, Genesis Mining will offer only short-term contracts.

The plan of mining Ethereum is designed for one year, i.e. after the transition to the Ethereum model PoS (implied to by the end of 2016), the resource will again switch to the X11 algorithm.

"Compared with long-term contracts, you get a fast return on investment due to low prices, the lack of fees and shorter term".

Genesis Mining will offer three plans in mining: small contract - mH/s for $53.97, the average contract - mH/s for $899.50 and a large contract - mH/$1 799.

have a tip like, though, to keep in etherium desk 0.6.7 as in the stable version, the only caveat in loading units , which are 3+GB
quick sync and everything is very convenient
and there is no need to keep browser Eth

would like to see some results from ETH, insane potential!  Cool

but again it's all talk here like every other alt.  even the big MS announcements could barely get the price going.  Undecided

can someone please contact the dev(s) (I pm'ed a couple folks, no answer) to get his coin listed on 1ex.trade as well, it'd be awesome to see it there esp since fresh btc will be flowing in there soon.

Nobody trades at that dead exchange. Poloniex is the home of ether and I dont see any thing changing that in the near future for some no name exchange.

it's not dead lol, it just opened and is still in softlaunch mode that's why it's quiet (or 'dead' as you say).  exch's take awhile to get going it's a known fact.  it shouldn't be much longer for this one to start picking up.  if you did any research you'd know that hard launch is happening soon (coming days and then into 2016), trading will pickup then.
