I read somewhere on the thread that Ethereum will have POS implemented is that true? and when will it happen?

Yes, but no one knows when, maybe in a 1/2 of year.

Does that coincide with PoW?

I heard something about 80 mil coins for mining, well then, respectively, POS, although it may have other plans

Is there any FAQ how to join and start maining with ETH ?
What should I do first to join ?
Is there any reccomended software ? What pool should I use to join to maining ?

There are pretty good guides here:

https://forum.ethereum.org/categories/mining

and here for example:

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-ethereum/

If you have enough hashing power, mine solo, as this is still possible with ETH due to the low block times.

If you're looking for a pool, I'd recommend choose one of the smaller ones, eurohash, ethereumpool, coinmine or you can also join my pool - suprnova. There are a lot of pool ads over in the pool section:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=199.0

Mine on a few and do your math which one works out best.

Welcome to safemarket P2P Trade System
A more safe, more free market
Powered by the Ethereum blockchain

All interactions within SafeMarket carry the same privacy as a simple Bitcoin transaction - stored in a public ledger but not linked to your personal identity or IP address.

Smart Contract Escrow Protection.
We're making hacks and scams a thing of the past. All funds are kept in virtual escrows until parties consent or an arbitrator intervenes.

Exceptional Resilience
Because data is saved to the blockchain, there are no servers to disrupt. Everyone who runs a node has a complete and provably accurate copy of all the data on the market.

Submarket Design
SafeMarket is not just a market, but a platform where anyone can launch their own market. Just like Reddit has subreddits devoted to individual interests, SafeMarket has submarkets devoted to individual products. As a submarket admin, you can earn money for regulating products and settling disputes

Now we are getting somewhere. There has been lots of innovation going around lately with Ethereum and right now price has been going up to $1.02 per ETH as stated in Coinmarketcap. I was very lucky to have bought Ethercoins (which were exchangeable to Ethers) at $0.67 per coin. Now that I have exchanged them for Ether, I have made some good profit. I have some ETH stored on a paper wallet for future reference.  Cheesy

I don't mind waiting, but usually when Cryptsy gets backed up it says Pending. If they've got a transaction ID then shouldn't it be on the blockchain unless Cryptsy is on a fork or something?

I just withdrew ETH from Cryptsy. The withdrawal says Processed and has a transaction ID, but the transaction isn't on the blockchain. Is there a problem? Please don't tell me I've lost my coins.

Haven't heard of ethereum before but now looking at this micro computer it looks interesting.
Glad I stumbled upon this and will be reading those books mentioned above. I will definitely be investing into this project further.
Will have something to do during the holiday break now and know what I will asking for this Christmas.

This is a very interesting computer, although it looks like a Raspberry Pi. It is somewhat similar to the 21 Bitcoin Computer but with Ethereum. I wonder how much it would cost?  Roll Eyes

How long is left before all the IPO money that was earmarked to pay developers has been spent, ot has it already gone? Will all the highest paid developers stop developing full time after their wages cease? They need money to live, and have limited spare time to code for nothing.
Dont know if he specifically meant wages, but theres this..... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12842408

Apparently when Bitcoin goes down, Etherium will rise by at least 50% from current price values.
