yes, you will need ETH for making contracts/apps, in fact you will need ETH to do anything on Ethereum Blockchain... hope this answer your question.

would like to see some results from ETH, insane potential! 
but again it's all talk here like every other alt. even the big MS announcements could barely get the price going.
can someone please contact the dev(s) (I pm'ed a couple folks, no answer) to get his coin listed on 1ex.trade as well, it'd be awesome to see it there esp since fresh btc will be flowing in there soon.

Nobody trades at that dead exchange. Poloniex is the home of ether and I dont see any thing changing that in the near future for some no name exchange.
Someone know if it is possible to create a pos coin inside Ether blockchain?

This is absolutely fantastic! I have used the promo code to buy some Ether mining hashrate on Genesis Mining. Since it is my first time investing on Genesis Mining, I only spent $40 just to be safe. Then, I will invest more as time comes by. Any idea on how long would ROI take mining Ether with Genesis?

Really looking forward to see more ethereum developments. The PoS phase is another interesting aspect.
