That is life, we have to adapt and accept some things we simply do not like or understand but we get on with it.

@JollyGood. The statement is not very reassuring.

@Mrpumperitis. There is also Binance's smart chain which appears to be in a beginning of a longterm pump to replace Ethereum from being 2nd in coinmarketcap.com.

Binance also has the marketing dollars.

btw , 1500 eth minimum if u wana stake  Shocked  ( me  sits back and watches the rush to buy  Cool )

Waiting for ETH staking for a very long time...still waiting...
ETH changed from 1500eth to 32eth over the years as the value of ETH grew...
With staking and the move to pos, i was expecting to see a scalable version of ETH...
Maybe this will happen , give them a few more years...
However....

SOL has delivered what i was expecting from ETH...
A cheap almost free tx cost, instant send, over 50k tps
and for the past 6months , Solana staking is what ive been doing...hodling and earning 10%roi

ETH 2.0 may come oneday....but Solana is here today.

...the way. Additionally, Ethereum compatible execution environments are coming to Solana, which will make it as portable as an EVM-based layer 2.

I think 2.0 will trump anything that came before it and ETH will be a very powerful tool in crypto for years to come.

Miners will mine anything as long as they make money. I think that is a rule for them because they want to make money and they will follow the money. If there are forks and there is money to be made then it will not be a problem for miners  Grin

Hello Ethereum hodlers and followers hehe. I want to ask what the miners’ sentiments are on the Ethereum development team’s roadmap to upgrade to ETH 2.0. I speculate of course that it would clearly be negative, however, I might be wrong.

What are your speculations after the hard fork? Would miners continue to mine the original Ethereum.

This does not bring good news to Vitalik and the development team of ETH 2.0. If traders continue to support the original ETH and it is still very profitable to mine it, what would be the use of ETH 2.0? Also, remember that none of the projects developed on Ethereum and other smart contract platforms are used in reality.

A novice programmer can also fork Ethereum. But if this programmer does not have a team and reputation in the community, then the new coin will not be traded on exchanges. If you get some shitcoins on another blockchain, then it will not give you profit. Smiley

Are you novice programmer ot not?
All forks gave some profits before and if greedy miners supports it than profit will be guaranteed.

Ethereum 1 is a very slow blockchain. What do you expect from the fork?

I dont expect anything from this new Ethereum fork, except that I will get more free coins that I can sell.
Its free money.

How will you protect your coin from 51% attacks?

I don't care about 51% or other attacks

Step in the world of MatchPS
The transaction fees are skyrocketing. It is no longer interesting for developers in this way to start a new project on the ETH blockchain. It's just a shame because so much innovation has been done on the blockchain. I really hope that with a new protocol the transactions will go down or with a different intermediate layer.

What blockchain do you think will be forked?
Ethereum 1, Ethereum 2, or both?

Ethereum 2 hopium is maybe going to be released in next few years, so it would be better to fork Ethereum 1 first.
I think reducing fees will not be like people are expecting but lets wait and see.

Ok, then explain your logic.
Ethereum 1 is a very slow blockchain. What do you expect from the fork?
Increasing gas in blocks or decreasing the interval for releasing new blocks?
How do you plan to increase the speed of transactions in the new fork?
How will you protect your coin from 51% attacks?

If you look at what is happening among the projects and what the developers are talking about, then most of the efforts are aimed at building Level 2 solutions and maximizing the acceleration of the Ethereum 1.0 network.
Perhaps Ethereum 2.0 phase 1 will start working next year, which will allow users to send ETH transactions (ETH coins only) very cheaply, but all smart contracts will work on the Ethereum 1.0 network for a long time.

Never trust miners and hope for one more ethereum fork.
That is winning combination.

ETH made many of these "honourable" miners fat and rich, now some of them are stabbing the knife in ETH's back for that? With this selfish behave imo they start slaughtering the cow which they're milking. While competitors like BNB surely welcomes that gratefully and are already nibbling on ETH's fundament. Shame on you, paltry, greedy miner-ragtag.

$20,000 is probably a long way away. Even if ETH settled at $3000 per each at the end of the year 2021 it will create many new millionaires.

I think when Ethereum 2.0 is finally fully functional and everything is implemented, we will inevitably see an extreme price increase.
The most important thing is that we get the transaction costs back to a normal level.
I think 20k per ETH is quite realistic in the near future....

We are happy to announce a decrease in our ETHEREUM mining fee.

From 3% to 1%, happy mining!
