That's why it's best to hold both. Could go either way but I just can't shake the feeling that ETC will somehow just become the default ether again. Maybe I'm just imagining it but strange things happen in crypto.
i did sell all my exchange etc today i see etc as a short term PnD, the leaders of etc love BTC too much to let etc gain any real long term value.

Well I quit following this. But this just came thru my news feed. I hope more that were persuaded by all the maximalists don't fall for etc and get dumped on a second time. This has really shown some people true colors!
What a great learning experience this has been. One small but important note to take from this. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose and this would have never been an issue. All this software is version what again? 0.??.? Alpha software people dumped millions into and then it had a flaw. Who would have thunk such a scenario could happen

Those, who don't really believe ALT coins need big development teams will go with ETC.

Ethereum has 12 million Ether set aside too pay for the development of ETH!
Dash has 10% deduction from the block rewards to pay for their development work!
Clearly, ETC has no development fund, nor do they appear to have any idea how they are going to pay for development work.
At the moment, their website is calling for volunteers - does not inspire confidence.
