You must think about this... ETH can only pump 1.5X, but ETC can pump 15X. So whos the winner? ETC will win this battle.

Surre....but ETC is only clone, clone, clone....

Nope, ETH is the clone of ETC

It's certainly a possibility for the exact reason you state.  It all depends on if enough people with enough BTC and mining resources see ETC as the money maker in the long term.

I see ETH dumping in the next days, not a lot but maybe to the 0.015 levels and ETC getting strong day by day. By now, the worst you can do, is put money on ETH and holding that falling
knife.

There was no consensus for a HF on ETH, otherwise ETC couldn't exist now. The fact it exists proves the pro-forkers were lying about a consensus that did in fact very obviously not exist. ETC is prove that post-fork-ETH is very likely a scam.

How could the old chain exist if you had a "consensus" on a fork? It wouldn't be possible.

People who claim there was consensus for a fork are scammers or very stupid.

prices for renting hash are going crazy......reminds me a bit like paycoin
know how that ended
so who is this guy.....Arvicco

well yeah, hash renting price is up, like it went up for paycoin. but I'd say the similarity to this situation definitely ends there.
definitely....you seem so sure....maybe some other similarities...yes to early to tell....but paycoin is virtually worthless now...just saying

Can someone give the ELI5 on why the forkers seem to be butthurt about ETC? Isn't that the whole idea of the fork? Two chains and all.

Because ETC is not legit.

Legitimacy, from the Latin legitimare meaning "to make lawful"

So, who makes the laws on a smart contract blockchain?

There is a possibility that the developers will dump their ETC together with the hacker.
Great news. People that missed Ethereum 2 years ago will now have the opportunity to grab original ethers at great discount.

Great news for ppl wanting to lose money.

Why use money? People can now sell 1 forked ether and buy 14 original ethers. This is excellent opportunity that should not be missed.

Make Bitcoin glow with ENIAC
if this guy does this will he lose money? if he has his miners run on etc to destroy it ?
who pays him the loss ?
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/miners-attack-ethereum-classic-polonixs-listing/

If he sees etc as an attack on his investment I guess he sees it as a business expense.
how is it in his country if he destorys evidence of a crime?
the old chain is the only evidence of the theft crime and if a investigation is started they need the crimesceen, so to say
wiping out the crimesceen is a crime by itself where i live.
and the hardfork didnt eliminate the crime the attacker did( if he did one).
if its a legal crime the cops will come after him

What the h are you talking about?

Wait for the dump.. then the forks... then more forks.. then a broken blockchain.

But im sure @ bitpop will repay all the lost coins when it happens, right?
