Looks like some of the ETH developers has confirmed the release of ETH 2.0 by this year, we maybe have a preview until JUL this year making the ETH scenario becoming bullish

Ethereum (ETH) Released Solidity Version 0.6.8

This release of Solidity fixes three important bugs in the code generator:

a missing callvalue check for constructors
a bug connected with array slices for arrays containing dynamic types
literal strings containing backslash characters in connection with ABIEncoderV2

In addition to that:

we introduced a recommendation to use SPDX license identifiers for all source files which are also stored in the contract metadata
it is possible to access the min and max values of an integer type directly
WebAssembly support has been extended

Important Bugfixes:

Add missing callvalue check to the creation code of a contract that does not define a constructor but has a base that does define a constructor.
Disallow array slices of arrays with dynamically encoded base types.
String literals containing backslash characters can no longer cause incorrect code to be generated when passed directly to function calls or encoding functions when ABIEncoderV2 is active.
Language Features:

Implemented type(T).min and type(T).max for every integer type T that returns the smallest and largest value representable by the type.
Compiler Features:

Commandline Interface: Don't ignore --yul-optimizations in assembly mode.
Allow using abi encoding functions for calldata array slices without explicit casts.
Wasm binary output: Implement br and br_if.

Bugfixes:

ABI: Skip private or internal constructors.
Fixed an "Assembly Exception in Bytecode" error where requested functions were generated twice.
Natspec: Fixed a bug that ignored @return tag when no other developer-documentation tags were present.
Type Checker: Checks if a literal exponent in the ** operation is too large or fractional.
Type Checker: Disallow accessing runtimeCode for contract types that contain immutable state variables.
Yul Assembler: Fix source location of variable declarations without value.

I see no reason why anybody would even think that Ethereum Classic would somehow fill the void that people think ETH 2.0 would have.

With Eth 2.0, will the price of gas (exchange fees )  go down ?
Actually, on the site of BLOCKCHAIN, lower fees are 0.00025 eth to withdraw..

It is very hard to argue against the view you hold because many people would choose Ethereum regardless of the failings attributed to it when using either Tron or EOS as a comparator.

@JeromeTash. That diagram! How are we certain that Vitalik is not making that confusing for everyone? Do you literally understand it?

Also, what is Eth 2.0's beacon chain? Is this similar to IOTA's coordinator where the developers have the power to shutdown the platform?

I don't know the very informative roadmap infographic for Ethereum. I appreciated what you share here. The full disclosure that was released officially by the Vitalik Buterin help to clean up vague news on Ethereum 2.0. It is good for the project and Ethereum investors. A long way to go and achieve Ethereum 2.0 but now our mind is clearer about i.

My original post about our tower defense game that features ethereum was deleted by the Ethereum admin unfortunately. I was not spamming, just trying to get the feedback of the Ethereum community...

I have no idea why anybody would be giving so much attention to Vitalik is saying. He is not one to have any authority of all-things-crypto so better to not pay too much attention to what he says.
