Why would people continue to hold onto Ethererum 1.0 when they can exchange for Ethereum 2.0 eventually?

Anyone here planning on hanging onto Ethereum 1.0 and not burn it for Ethereum 2.0?  If so, why would you do that?

How much time will we have to exchange our 1.0 for 2.0?

3... 2... 1... Launch!
There is no better example of a scam in technology history than Ethereum

There is no subjectivity necessary to state the obvious, it's completely derived from the premine, from their idiocy in every single thing they do.

Ethereum group are literally made of only people who are unable to make a single rational choice in their lives, starting with always permissioned designs like PoS and premines and ICO's and ending with failures like countless subjective forks forced on everyone, money confiscations, censorship already demonstrated. They even failed at accidentally forking the chain a few times due to incompetent devs. But only incompetent developers cannot tell if 1 or 2 is bigger and cannot calculate how only 1 trusted party can have 70% of supply in the damn premined design.

Ethereum is a community of only illiterate idiots and scammers with literally no other options to explain a choice for a centralized platform cosplaying crypto.

If given a choice of platform to use despite its flaws I'd still choose Ethereum over Tron or EOS

How much ethereum do we need to have to be able to stake? Where can I find out more information about that and steaking? Thanks

That's interesting question

Now I wanna know it too  Cool

according to the article below, you'll need at least 32 ETH to start staking.

https://cryptobriefing.com/getting-ready-stake-ethereum/

This seems way faster and more decentralized, I'm sure this is good for both ETH and bitcoin and certainly ETH will grow.

Based on the article you've shared. There are the key highlights.

Crypto users who want to exchange their Bitcoin (BTC) for Ether (ETH) currently have to rely on third-party exchanges
Ethereum co-creator Vitalik Buterin proposes a solution to ease the swapping between the two leading cryptocurrencies
The so-called bridge between BTC and ETH would come in the form of a trustless decentralized exchange (DEX)

I would not go those lengths about expressing my sentiments but I do think things will eventually improve and there will be a massive spike in crypto as soon as the coronoavirus pandemic subsides. The prices of all crypto will continue to bounce around while there is so much uncertainty.

I guess the recent price drop shows that much of the BS behind ethereum and crypto is exactly that, just BS.. So much for anonymous and anti establishment saviour of the world. the coins seems to drop at 2x the speed of the regular markets.

What is the projected yearly return on investment for an Ethereum validator running a staking node?
The annual yield is not yet determined caused by it needs more time to launch ethereum POS system. As far as i know if the annual yield already expected to be around 3% - 10%. This is just my prediction based on some opinions from the experts and the ethereum core developers.

You are right, based on the other predictions people are spreading the news about the annual yield, I hope it will take some more month to release the POS system for ETH. Based on the other coins potential coins percentage the percentage might be in between 3% to 5%.

Live with peace and enjoy life!
But let's be thankful to those who understand because they will leave the fiat system and might consider putting their money and investments in crypto.
Based on the article, it's easy to understand if people will think that why would we still pay taxes if the government can print unlimited cash.

I can only think we don't have mass riots because most people don't understand money at all. Der der der …

Crypto is the way, not corrupt, and not centralized and with that, I believe we have a good future here as long as we hold.

This is a pretty huge milestone in my opinion and I see it as a net positive rather than a negative, in so much as it shows that the Ethereum development community is generally very focused on good practice. Assuming the dev community addresses the issues brought up in the report as it seem they are doing...

It was thanks in huge part to this forum that 31,000 BTC worth $18.5 million ($596 each Bitcoin) was raised in the Ethereum ICO but shortly after the Ethereum team decided it was not going to post here.

Maybe this forum no longer holds any value for the team.
