I have sold my ETHs to convert into DAO tokens. I hope I will not have any bad experience with it.

I have the same feeling. I exchanged a part of my ETH holding for DAO tokens. In the process of exchanging them I was beset by one warning after another about the significant risks. Also one disclaimer after another.

I then decided to do more research and came across this article in the CoinTelegraph:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/dao-episode-2-risks-ahead-or-can-the-experiment-fail

I posted a link to the article here a few hours ago, and advised caution, but it it has been smothered by other posts.

I'm trying to transfer a small amount of ETH to Poloniex but my wallet wants password! I never enter your password and do not have one! What to do and what's the password?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I had to enter a password when the wallet was created so try to remember it.
Maybe caps-lock was enabled when you typed it?

I really have no recollection at installation asks me for a password! If I did not do account Could this be the reason for not giving me a transfer.
That is my main view wallet:

Without password your account is locked. Did you make this account in mist? If you did, you had to type password for encryption.

@ Mr Pumperitis

You assume too much. Your name tells where you are coming from - Mr Pumperitis, pumping the price without concern for those whom you might mislead. I was advising caution due to a highly respected article in CoinTelegraph. I believe I was being objective in invititing others to read it - in relation to other posts here. Are you intimidated by that?

I notice that this is a fresh page, so for the convenience of other investors, of which I am one, here is my original post:

CAUTION Advised

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but everyone should read this CoinTelegraph article:

http://cointelegraph.com/news/dao-episode-2-risks-ahead-or-can-the-experiment-fail

Lots of "considerable risks" including the fact that Ethereum will drop in price due to the DAO. $100s of millions of ETH have been invested in creating DAO tokens. These tokens will be used to fund projects. To fund projects the DAO tokens will be cashed into fiat $ via ETH. This flood of ETH sells will most likely make the ETH price plummet.

In summary the article concludes:
"It’s a steep mountain to climb with considerable risks and failure more likely than success."

Now exercise your power in banning me you self-interested jerk - although I now see that you have deleted your previous threatening post.

Dude i heard all this when i first got into BTC. When it was under $20 nobody cared. Then once it became worth something, the warnings come out...just like yours above.
Crypto is risky, be it BTC, ETH or THE DAO, your fiat will go up and down alot.
Most investors are aware of this before investing.
So thanks for heads up and gd luck with your own investment choices.

You imbecile. I was being objective in quoting an article that raised concerns. Don't just pick on part of my post to obscure it in a meaningless fog to hide the implications from most investors, of which I am one. Here it is in full:

in its Forbes paper, Laura Shin says:

-bitcoin is a public blockchain, it is the internet ;
-ethereum is a private blockchain, something like an intranet.

do you agree ?

another analogy maybe

bitcoin is decentralized

ethereum is centralized

is that right

She didn't say that Ethereum is a private blockchain, she's referring to the private blockchains developed by financial institutions as Intranet.
