i've been in crypto since late 2013 and it's always the same, no matter what great devs,great communities,great features a coin has. crypto has and will be for a long time yet been just a way to make quick money. blackcoin, dash, digibyte, ethereum ect ect. all great coins but people will always mine or buy and then dump when the price rises. i'm not sure what can be done to encourage people to keep their coins. all the time it's the same, pump/dump, pump/dump then move to the next coin and so on. i hate that way of crypto

Hi,

My english isn´t good but I try to explain well, I have a wallet jaxx with ether in android, I make a transaction to the initial Etherbase account from official wallet ethereum in my pc, the ether is not displayed in the new account, I synchronize the wallet with the old blockchain in another pc with the keystore folder who is in testnet folder and the money is displayed, I can´t get out the ether because he ask me a password and I don´t put any password in the past. Anybody can help me?, thanks.

Its the mining that made this coin well known and talked about.
When that buzz and community disappears, i think it will slowly fade away.

If this pump was for homestead then that means it began in january and lasted around 3months and you say Metropolis in several months, which suggests to me, either i buy or hodl now as smart money is on the way for the next pump.

I am holding mine. Mining will stop soon and I am sure that will help eth price. We have to have in mind that more and more dapps are coming, slockit will be here soon and that will only boost the price of eth.

It appears to be turning up again. When will the mining stop and what exactly will happen then?

Nobody knows the dates, but it should go to PoS, in couple of months. PoS was allready adressed here, no excact % were released but it should be arround 5-10%. And there will be limited time, after certain time passed it will become unprofitable... It was written couple of weeks ago, look it up in the thread
