when the price comes down these Reserve Funds get close scrutiny.
ETH is no exception either
They just sold 1.8m ETH and are taking flack
https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/723573508010348545Point is that at least Devs go on with funding security - and increase mid/long term value (assuming their priorities are sound....)
Coins without funding just have a history of AWOL devs and no future
Without continuity of Devs its very difficult to restart a coin where they switched the lights off and went home.
This is absolutely true. Devs don't work for free, and anything we contract out we have to pay for, out of pocket entirely early on. Rest assured everyone on the team ALWAYS owns EXP, so getting some EXP slowly over time makes about zero difference whatsoever to price, as we are always holding some. We would only sell with increasing volume and prices, and even then only to cover what is needed, as we know the project is going to last and grow. Some stuff we have paid with BTC of our own, like the new website, but we negotiate the best prices for work as possible while still being fair. We HATE selling pressure more than anyone, we made it "rare" on purpose, and we designed the community funding, still untouched, to last forever very intentionally. (Check the Whitepaper for how this will work)
This is something we are going to be working on for many years, at least if everyone in the DAO wants that down the road. I can assure you that we will be building up the project in a manner that benefits holders and makes them as happy as possible, at least as much as can. We certainly want everyone satisfied as if they were a partner with us. Keep in mind Franko worked on his previous project for years with no funding just because he is honorable and he still supports it now. So now we have funding and a very stable core team with great contributors. Yes, it sucks when the price goes down now and then, but you can't have one without the other, and I am sure there will be glorious increases in the future as well.
Sorry, but when i read this it gets me (i do not speak for the rest of the team, the other 5. They do not even know im writing this.) really upset. You know for your self that you can not justify your zero "development" with several hundreds of BTC (300 BTC +). This gets me upset since it will make a very few people rich, and those who just started crypto, very poor. You really have no shame.
Traders have made a lot more money in Expanse than Shift, and traders have made infinitely more than the devs of Expanse. Although you are just making up numbers clearly, and discounting that EXP prices have varied over time. You are jealous, but why not be jealous of Lisk that raised 12k BTC for nothing? Why are you obsessed with us? Part of your problem is that you are a scam dev and you have to remain anonymous, that is why nobody puts much value in your project. They know they can't trust you. Development is also more than trying to come up with some different code, which we have done plenty. It is related to a variety of aspects in a project and we have tons of development considering all aspects. We actually are capable of making a custom block explorer and custom wallet as well, so I am not sure why you think you are so amazing, when you are not.
Besides, you used up your premine as you had no clue how to plan funding. You vanished after your dumped your premine, and you had the audacity to came back to Shift once Expanse was successful and made a new premine! (Hey, at least that is original, never heard of anyone getting away with that before) Still, I could care less and had no ill will toward your project initially, we could have even helped you, but you have been FUDing our project the entire time. Coming here without your team's approval shows your level of professionalism by the way, about zero. Anyway, you will avoid the truth as that is what you do by nature, but please share your real identity if you are not a scam dev. Seriously, why hide "Joe?" You also mentioned Horizon details at launch and claim no connection to Horizon, a lie, and later a Horizon team member was announced on your team. Fact is, you lie a lot, and people will lose money if they trust you.
