"How much longer till your novel's done?" ... but couldn't help but ask.

Exactly this, same story, different trade. Get the feeling most writers would keep refining for years given the option, but of course life doesn't work like that.

Also great quote. Reminds me of Yeats's "The best lack all conviction, while the worst/ Are full of passionate intensity."

The world can change all it wants, yet 100 year old quotes still apply to cryptocurrency internet forums.

I'll conveniently borrow from Yeats to put development in poetic terms for you:

Code:
The falcon cannot hear the falconer

Any kept a record of their timings of updates to github?
Its ~ 10:00PM in Austin now and they are still making updates.

If this is unusual timings for them, then thats a good sign.

New website looks excellent, topnotch stuff. Live usage stats too.

Can you say something more about what you're seeing on the github? I check in fairly frequently and do my best to decipher what's going on, but I'm not a dev and it ends up being mostly gibberish to me ... Is there any way to tell the number of issues that still need to be resolved? Thanks in advance.

Progress is a vague concept, solutions often cause more problems. I wouldn't hold out for a definitive answer and even if someone provides one, best to take it with a grain of salt. There's a reason you rarely see strict timelines, the devs understand better than everyone else the level of uncertainty.

You could help test m2 to possibly get some insight, but doubt the effort/reward is worth the curiosity alone.

Yes I get that, but thanks for these thoughts. I work mainly in the literary world and was imagining it was a similar question to "How much longer till your novel's done?" ... but couldn't help but ask.

Also great quote. Reminds me of Yeats's "The best lack all conviction, while the worst/ Are full of passionate intensity."

Full poem, definitely worth a read even for non-poetry folks:

And btw another great Russell quote: "Most people would rather die than think." Strange how often that quote comes to mind these days ...

could this be a hint?
Based upon the github activity, no.  Still plenty of debugging going on.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like things are changing significantly at Poloniex.  A few days ago there was 450K Factom in the sell side order book; now there's 280K.  So the amount of FCT available for purchase has dropped by 60%.  Meanwhile, the buy side order book stays strong - consistently over 1K BTC, currently 1365.   Anybody tracking the margin requirements on FCT and how that's changed in the past week?

Yes, I have also noticed that the sell side decreased from around 420k FCT to now 290k FCT. Buy side still over 1k BTC. How would you assess this?

Buy side now about 341K FCT, sell side 263K FCT. So a lot of new ppl are jumping in hoping to buy FCT at a lower price (bon chance), and a number of the sell orders are getting pulled. For the latter, my guess is that some whales are pulling their orders b/c they were fake to begin with, and they're concerned that the orders might actually get filled when/if M2 is announced. Whatever the case, FCT's depth chart is looking stronger and stronger, and as volume increases, the effects of manipulation/suppression are decreasing.

could this be a hint?
Based upon the github activity, no.  Still plenty of debugging going on.

But it's interesting. It links to: https://shop.factom.com

I don't know much about those things, but maybe they work on the main-page while trying to hide that? Because "this" site right now is kind of weird. Some links work, some not how it seems.

I wouldn't be surprised if M2 comes along with a re-designed homepage.
