Just finished dropping another 150 $GEO onto the map. This is adding to the Circulating Supply!
So far we have had a lot of magnets dropped all over Europe. Let's see if we can get the community to help spread some $GEO around to other countries!

We are still under development, but this will help pre-drop $GEO for people interested in collecting once we launch. We've started processing all the magnets the community of users has been dropping lately. We just dropped an additional 100 $GEO onto the map for people to collect in the future. If you don't see any $GEO on the map near you, go to the following interface, pan and zoom into your location and click "Drop GEO".

There is no calculation that is perfect. Qubit appears to be sufficiently uncommon that it is alright for the present and very suggested by this network. It will be less inclined to be abused at the beginning.Looking forward to the launch!!!
The Qubit POW chain is now developer abandoned. In early January, GeoCoin migrated over to the Ubiq Network as an ERC20 token.Once our new interface launches, the only way to 'mine' the remaining GEO supply will be through Proof-of-Location where users collect GEO right off the map using their smartphone GPS.
Just wanted to help clear up your confusion.
I heard there are applications that allow you to fake your geolocations. In how far is that a problem for GeoCoin and how do you make sure that that can't happen?
And is that GIS analysis tool totally safe or could it also be fooled by some sophisticated attempt to fake the geo location?
Interesting because if there are financial motives involved there will probably be a lot of tries to crack the system and spoof the location.
support, the definitely positive moment is that developers always keep us informed about their proceedings as well as this is big chance to communicate with core developers, other many projects don't deliver such opportunity, in different channels all discussions are built on managers of groups
The GeoCoin coin project has tremendous room for development and is worth investor participation, patient and long-term holding and waiting

Hello. I checked the video. Looks really cool. I'm quite surprised that after the news and even after @SecretsOfCrypto posts the price didn't move. The market is totally rekt right now. just a small note: it's not really comfortable to follow the info in the vid with a loud voice on a background

This magnet will attract GEO to nearby public spaces such as parks/schools that are away from road ways etc. The GEO drops are a manual process atm, but we aim to fully automate it moving forward.
This will help us spread the GEO to places near users who are interested in picking it up in the future, as opposed to just randomly scattering GEO on the map. When Pokemon Go came out, people were walking into the middle of highways trying to collect characters and we would like to avoid those types of problems.

Getting an early start this weekend continuing development. We are building in some additional spatial, temporal and quantitative background checks to make sure our upcoming Proof-of-Location (PoL) $GEO drops interface is ready to go. Also gathering up a few graphical assets in preparation for the upcoming launch.

At the current time our interface is designed to allow any user to drag and drop GEO onto the map, but I do hear what you're saying about the risks involved with this style of interaction. We could make the ability to drop something that must be "earned" by the GeoCasher before it becomes activated. We will also be doing the Proof-of-Location drops which we aim to place in open public spaces such as parks to keep users away from roadways etc.
With any GPS based game you always need to be aware of your surroundings and the risks involved with them. Thanks for the feedback!
