Well im on debian when i double click globe-qt it runs Smiley.

I did however install the following packages as shown to compile it:

sudo apt-get install build-essential libboost-all-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb5.1-dev libdb5.1++-dev git qt-sdk libminiupnpc-dev lib32mpfr-dev lib32mpfr4

but am sure you do not need all of them. Also getting indiviual files from google may not be the best idea eg. one xxxxx.dl will very from the other xxxxx.dl file

Okay, which libdev do I need to install to get libdb_cxx-5.1.so?  I don't use Linux that much.

Im not quite sure nod probably knows this better but if he doesn't reply....

try:

sudo apt-get install build-essential libdb5.1-dev libdb5.1++-dev

It will maybe works, installation is still in progress for me.
What i've done for Ubuntu:
ldd globed
-> it lists all the required files
then i searched every files in google and installed each required package (i do not remember their names...), but in the end i got a segmentation error.

EDIT : installation finished, let's see what happens.
I'm using the software manager and getting them loaded now.  See what happens when it's done.

Thanks Sphere, I'm finding other libs missing from the install so I'm getting them one at a time.  It's coming back pretty quick what to do.  Thanks.

S***, i've installed every missing packages one by one and now i'm getting "Segmentation error (core dumped)".
What is the exact version of Debian you used for compiling (i want to download the same and run it in a VM) ?

Sorry for your troubles. I am using debian-7.1.0-i386

No problem, you don't have to be sorry, it's decentralized so no one is responsible, if i'm not happy i just can leave, but i stay here, beautiful philosophy lol  Smiley

@digitaltradz : i'm doing the same... Who will be the fastest Wink ?!

Well thanks thats very kind. It reminds me of the quote : “An army of principles can penetrate where an army of soldiers cannot."-
Thomas Paine”

Although in this case its more

“An army of philosophy can penetrate where an army of technical issues cannot."-
Thomas Paine”

 Cheesy

 Grin Debian installation is sooooo long (net install), hope I can start mining tonight.

I downloaded the torrent for the Live version and got it installed.  Now to grab the QT Cry

Good luck !!! My GPU is waiting for something to mine lol...
