If this was for me thanks I am past that stage and have had no luck loading my API keys. Waiting on a PM or two and will continue trying. Funny, I can build buildings from scratch but wish I could code or at least be more literate with the computer.

i dont know the rest but you may need a conf file if you need to put in addnode=address for wallets that have a small issue
with finding them and you also need to know conf file if you are mining the wallet this program just needs the conf file because
it needs to talk to the wallet for a confirmation of the .1 btc worth of gns.

Thanks to all who helped. I am learning fast and have found many of you are so helpful. Got the program up just now and I will mess with the API and such. Had to dip into my PINK stash to top up to .1 GNS

This is the first Config file I have made. Why would you need to create this file? Any examples?

Any idea what no white space means in the API instructions? Is this simply no blank spaces?

When I enter my API keys from Trex and press save nothing happens. Did I miss something?

if your newer to crypto this wont be the last time you will need to create a .conf file thats for sure.

to unhide the appdata folder do this

click on start then on control panel then in left pane click on classic view then in main folder click on
folder options then under the view tab click on show hidden folders then go down and apply then x out
then go to start then my computer then users then your user then appdata then roaming and you will find
gnosis folder click on it

i hope this helps

yes win7 hides appdata folder until you unhide it. once you find the gnosis in appdata roaming folder make creat a right click inside the folder and create a new text document then double click on that text document and copy an paste off of here

rpcuser=yourbrandnewshinyusername
rpcpassword=yourbrandnewshinypassword
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1
gen=0

then change the password and username and remember it it is you rpc password and rpc username
then go up into the left hand corner click on file then save as in the file name put

"gnosis.conf"

with quotations just cut and paste off of here now restart your wallet and the program will work

I am having trouble finding my username and password! Anybody help?

Just make sure in your config file you have the wallet setup to run on the default port, on localost, if the RPC port is running on the non defaul port, not on localhost, it wont work.

If I could find that file I would check. This may be a bit over my capabilities. What is the file name? I extracted to downloads was that wrong? Sorry to be a noob.

W8 and I have now restarted the wallet and checked just about everywhere. Has everyone else had any issues or am I just that noobish. Grrr

You will need to unhide the folder, and create the configuration file.

When your looking for the config file, if you cant find the directories, go into your folder properties and enable hidden folders. The AppData directory is hidden, and when you find te gnosis directory, you will likely have to create the configuration file names gnosis.conf with the settings above.
