  Group buy is good when each miner is sent to  owners who personally bought them, you mention hosting  which is totally different and it is a counterparty risk.

  Anyway ,Nhash already lowered the price, anyone can buy personally and ship to each own his adress. https://www.nhash.net/miners/58922264715862016

Yes, it's a form of group buy nonetheless. Ideally, iPollo will agree to ship units individually - already confirmed for the 6 units going to the US. Feel free to ask if shipping-direct-to-you is an option, iPollo will confirm (I'd say a 2-3 units at minimum).

The reason we're going with iPollo directly is if there's any functional issues - we're straight to them, not dealing with an intermediary.

  iPOLLO is the manufacturer of GRIN ASIC hardware.

   Official website is ;    https://ipollo.com/products/ipollo-g1-mini.

   There are other sellers, but better verify. Some community trusted GRIN ASIC Sellers.

Thank you - I'm organising a group-buy for the G1 mini here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/grin-home-miner-group-buy-g1-mini-group-buy1-completed-group-buy2-tba-5406703

Has anyone purchased a miner here? iPollo seem to be at the forefront of dedicated machines with their G1/G1mini. ($9000 vs $300 / 36Gps vs 1.2Gps).

Satoshi made an interesting comment on this very forum in 2010 [1].
I was curious what exactly he was complimenting and while reading the main post from user @Red, I was able to recognize the design structure he wanted to describe. If anyone is interested in a short story that explains what the two were talking about, it is now documented [2]. It's not a mistake I'm posting this here, they were discussing a chain format that takes a step towards a block having only commitments rather than plain data, which is the path Mimblewimble/Grin also take.

In case you spot a mistake, let me know and I'll gladly correct it.

  Discussing three options and select one for bounty.

 At Grin meetings, discussed the possibility of introducing a Bulletin Board system for Grin as sugested by @satoshocrat.

 The purpose of a Bulleting board is for users to be able to share information while they are offline. These are not non interactive transactions, but are a solution that allows those users who do not like having their wallet

 online, or those who do not like to share their slatepacks via email or other known channels, to share that information.

 Details at forum;
