I am trying to get into Grin and read and watched a couple of articles and videos. Grin pomotes itself as scalable. However Jasper van der Maarel states [1] it does process only 10 transactions per second. This is definitely not scalable. So, how is that meant to be scalable?

Then it settles down at least a little, maybe 10% per day, now the early days hype can overcome it. But hype is transitory, inflation is like the tide. Inflation will break the back of the hype machine and we will see a long price decline for 6 months to a year minimum. Difficulty tracks the price so it should be easy to mine again during that lull. I plan to be mining a lot during that time.
Look Raven for example. First 4 years have same inflation like GRIN. Every day new 7.2 mil coins mined , every day, first 4 years.

Does anyone even know the current odds for a block on a 1080ti?
At current diff it's ~1:300000 with AR29 and slightly better with AT31. Or ~7 months for a block on average. The diff is not going to stay "current" obviously.I'll give it a week.
I have fond memories of CPU mining a Bitcoin block back in the day, and would be nice to think I could solo mine at least 1 block with this stuff, before the difficulty truly goes parabolic.
I've never really followed an altcoin launch before, and am absolutely blown away with how much and quickly, the difficulty is increasing for this project.

These new coins made me flee the Windows 10. minerbabe captured my 8_588 and 16_1070 on c31 - 7 graph/s . And 8_1063 I was able to attach to the beam in hiveos. bminer-v14.0.0 on a working computer with 3_1070 12.5 graph / s = 15 graph / s at f2pool.

Over 5 GRIN now @ f2pool as of this morning. Turned off my laptop from mining with the 1080, and looking forward to resuming some fun gaming today. Still have the 1080ti running.
Waiting to get paid out; hopefully within the next 24 hours.
When I get paid out, I'll move the 1080ti over to solo mining for a week and hopefully hit at least 1 block.

Well not having informative links but just fancy graph isn't the way to go. Informative guides, links to a page contains exchanges, pools, explaining how-to-use-wallet to generic user would be more helpful.

There won't be any limits on the supply. Check the first page. For every minute passed, there will be new 60 grins to be minted.

Well, c31 and c29 haven't quite leveled out yet (previous graph).
I have found this to be a good indicator:
Roughly a 1/10 G/s c31/c29 factor, I get 40 G/s on c29, and about 4 G/s on c31.
BTW, went through their support yesterday (Zen desk), and got an answer and solution instantly (email had not arrived).
I'm not shilling about sparkpool, just saying.
Also, got almost 3 Grin with c31 instead of almost 2 (that would have got) with c29.
Was briefly thinking of leaving my Vega64's on c31 and Minerbabe, and flipping the 1080ti's to Bminer 14. Maybe tomorrow.
