I welcome all users of this branch, I want to introduce you to the miner HeadGPU , with many new algorithms, with improved stability and minimal consumption of GPU electricity. I present to you my miner , who uses a new algorithm which produces this coin "Grin". By means of efforts , I managed to achieve +27% to an increase in hashes. Instructions for setting up for the extraction of Grin is in my branch. For a review of the miner you can follow the link https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-head-gpu-miner-new-algorithms-grin-27-5078288

In the fray since 2013.

Was very skeptic about GRIN money supply at the beggining. Thought it would inflate the market too much.

After some thought i realized that 160 million coins in 5 years time is not much, how many ethereum are there already?

Then another thought came, these coins are the ULTIMATE HOARDING coins.

Nobody knows how much you have, nobody can see you move it.

No Satoshi effect here.

Individuals and corporations (legitimate or no) can HOARD and move huge quantities of Grin with no side effects.

This could create a situation that if no new coins come through at a steady rate, the market would starve for liquidity.

Any thoughts on this?

Am I right?

Still no payment script over at F2Pool? I haven't checked it since I set it up

Have to meet a minimum balance for automatic payouts. Currently 3 GRIN down from a previous limit of 5.

You can create a support ticket, and they will send out payments under the minimum, within the first 10 days, at the start of a month.

F2 pool realized that now it is very important to take this piece of cake with you. I wonder when grin devs is planned to allow not only 6GB but also 4GB? The price will depend on this and how many new players will come to this mining market.

Sorry, where is the 'comparison'?
On the links you provided, Grin is not even mentioned.

You wouldn't be shilling for Beam on the Grin thread, would you? Roll Eyes

https://grin-pool.org is utter shit for me.

Submitting WAY MORE shares on f2pool compared to grin-pool - It's not even funny.

Will wait for the next payout @ 3 GRIN on f2pool and probably quit this shit for good.

Fucking altcoins.

* BobLawblaw grumbles in Theymos' general direction... again... Wink

Absolute dog shit for me too!

Well anyway...my 1st Grin mining auto-payment just showed up at Bitforex. Yay.
Yes, it was worth turning the rig back on (for now)

I've just met with GRIN because of my friend. I can't be sure what invest or not GRIN.

Please can you explain to me why should I invest it? I read something about GRIN. But I am thinking about "think twice before invest" thing.

The prevailing opinion in this thread is that GRIN is not a good investment at this time. So if someone (your friend?) told you to invest you should ask them for their reasoning and please let us know.

Lot of stupid people are buying at these prices, they will be crying in a few months-year time when price is is under $1 easily.  Not saying this is a bad coin, just a terrible coin to get rich from.

It's good to see GRIN is taking a similar path to Ravencoin but (1) with a more interesting goal, (2) a better name, and (3) a good plan to integrate ASICs without making them enemies or allowing them to centralise the network.
For a price prediction, I'd look at Ravencoin's price and expect a similar movement but with a better long-term outlook.
You cant compare price I think. Because Ravencoin have max supply coins and Grin dont have. Crin is interesting for sure... but unlimited coin a little scares...
I think it's difficult to analyze any price expectation for GRIN at this time, I believe it's the first time we are experiencing something without limits, through this situation we can understand the true depth between limited supply and infinity supply. In the social point of view, GRIN is for everyone basically.

Isn't GPU mining only lasting for two years at most anyways? Until Asics have taken over the hashrate?

Yes. I imagine that they will drop c29 support then.

<...> Unfortunately I'm not willing to use Linux to mine c31 so I haven't try it.

Why not? You don't actually need to 'use' Linux. Just boot to it. For windows users.
It will be the most profitable days to mine c31 ever, imho. Keeping a close eye vs c29.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
Hi,
Does grinmint supports 31 algo?
Please suggest a pool for 31 algorithm with not big minimum payout...

Yes you can use grinmint.
Do you see that there are two numbers at the "Current Hashrate" and the "Average Hashrate" ? The first number (before the '/') is the c31 and the second number is the c29.
Unlike f2pool which has two different payouts for the two algos, grinmint seems to merge them. Unfortunately I'm not willing to use Linux to mine c31 so I haven't try it.
