Code:
MinGW Runtime Assertion

Assertion failed!

Program: c:\(blabla)\guncoin-qt.exe
File: checkpointsync.cpp, Line 184

Expression: mapBlockIndex.count(hashSyncCheckpoint)

Same problem here. Anyone with a fix ? (Delete this and that and resync the wallet?).

"Microsft Visual c++ Runtime library

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.".

Is the final output.

You were upgrading from V1.1 to V1.3 I think - that is the error that I just posted about and how to take care of it.

Bug report in wallet v 1.3.

I've been running 1.3 on one computer for a while and it's been fine.  So I upgraded all my wallets this am, and the one on my mining rig (running Win7 x64) crashed after giving this error. (the forum won't let me attach screen cap)

Out of maintenance mode now, and seems to be fine.

Ya, Cryptopia is running just fine, nice little run-up this morning.   Wink

Yes, all appears to be back to normal with them and about a 35% run-up in the GUN price right after they came back live so far.

FYI, we have just released GUN 1.3.1 as an interim patch release only for those upgrading from V1.1 to V1.3 - no one else needs to upgrade and can wait for V1.4 in 2 weeks. In other words, if you are already happily running V1.3, then there's no need to update. If you are still on V1.1, then this is the version to move to. There is a patch fix for a crash where V1.1 users moving to V1.3 get an error receiving their first checkpoint (remember we have automatic checkpointing now). So when you see V1.3.1 users on the network, those are only V1.1 users who just upgraded.  We have V1.4 in beta test now and all looks very good so far and everyone can move to that when it is ready.

Cryptopia has Guncoin in Maintenance Mode while they upgrade to GUN V1.3 to make ready for the hard fork at block 840,000.  Please be patient while they take care of it for us!

Updated and fresh installed v1.3 and imported my old wallet, and all my CPU mined transactions are there. (Not going to CPU mine now tho, hehe.)

With the hashrate over 200MHz on a regular basis, the days of CPU mining may be behind us......

So I've been going through the updates for the new wallets, there is a substantial amount of changes to them that most people will never see, but are really important for making sure that Gun remains stable and secure.

Yes, when you look at Bitcoin core 0.11.x - 0.13.x, there is a LOT of good content in regards, to security, speed and better functionality that will be in GUN that gets GUN fairly current with technology today.  This will all be in GUN V1.4 that is in beta test now.  While we are ahead of schedule for V1.4, we cannot roll it out to you until after block 840,000 due to the fork there in V1.3 - But soon thereafter.

GUN is now available on Telegram thanks to Bushstar.  We actually have two set up, one for announcements from us, the other is more of an open discussion one.

  Telegram (Announcements): https://t.me/guncoin_crypto
  Telegram (Users Group): https://t.me/guncoin_group

Additionally, these have been added to the OP and the entire "GUN Links" page on the website has been updated and made current with a lot more links than were there before.....this is one of the first steps in getting the website redone as I previously mentioned is cleaning up what is there already....

Nice!

Has the sign of Guncoin (GUN) changed? Why do I see the same name on the subtrade website, and the logo is different?

The official logo for Guncoin (GUN) is this......there is only one now.

It is simple and easy to reproduce and is also very easy to recognize on any site that shows it.  We have actually had it available since day one.  Any others are considered Guncoin artwork that may be used.  When we are placed on a new site, sometimes they ask us for our logo and sometimes they do not.  Sometimes we never hear about it till later and they grab whatever artwork they like.  But the red/black logo is what we consider the official logo moving forward.  If you see it incorrect anywhere, feel free to let them know and point to this thread.

Additionally, we have Guncoin (gold/silver coin)  and token (gold & silver & copper tokens) artwork that are also is use.  You can see picture of all of them in our Users Guide.

The changed logo should  also officially show up on the Cryptocurrency Market Capitalizations ticker website.

FYI, we have started on some major upgrades to the website.  This will bring the GUN website a lot more current with other websites and has been long overdue.  We have no less than 100 offers to "help" with the redesign for all sorts of prices.  While the content will mostly stay the same, the home page layout will experience a major makeover that we hope everyone will like.  We are still building it and checking out the pieces on a test server for now.  Over the next day or two, you may see some organizational changes on the structure of the current website to make the transition a bit easier for us.  So if you see the site looking odd or down, there is NOTHING to be worried about, you just picked a bad time while we were making the changes.

In addition to website upgrades, if you saw the tweet from Bushstar today, you will note that he is making great progress on V1.4 and expects to have it done late next week, about the same time as the V1.3 fork kicks in.  We will test V1.4 for a few days as there are a lot of changes in it and then roll it out soon thereafter.  As always, the Gun team appreciates your patience and support!

Just an FYI, there's about a week to block 840,000 so everyone with the old wallets here is a reminder to upgrade..

Wallet v 1.1 must upgrade.  (neoscrypt switch)
Wallet v 1.2 beta, must upgrade.  (2015 release)
Wallet v 1.2 final is recommended to upgrade.  (2017 release)
Wallet v 1.3 is current. (2017 release)

Yes, we need to get everyone upgraded to V1.3 as soon as possible.  Bushstar will have V1.4 read about the same time as the final V1.3 fork.  Once we know it is stable, V1.4 will be ready to release.

What about POS for wallet v1.3, 1.4?

Not an option - V1.3 is already released and V1.4 is already in work.
